My wife and soulmate, Tia Caldwell, passed away suddenly Saturday the 15th of October. She was only 39 years old yet lived a full, beautiful, and accomplished life overflowing with love. Services will be held this weekend in Sacramento, rsvps will go out today.

What are other examples of totally under appreciated engineering and/or operational marvels? Trying to go down some rabbit holes. The people who set the lines for sports betting are another one I have been thinking about a lot recently.

@josh_wills All of this just gets dramatically easier with a metrics layer and central server that can manage the cache and break down incoming queries into their constituent metrics, dimensions, data sources, etc

@josh_wills We're just kicking off a project to automatically create and schedule materializations for popular dashboards in our BI tool. Imagine a toggle embedded into the dashboard, no code required. Paired with a result cache, I'm pretty confident we'll get to sub-second load times
