An intermission thought, if you'll indulge me... Our sense for the past month has been that MIN, CAR and DET were the top 3 teams to watch for Trocheck, and with Minny backing off earlier today, I keep coming back to Detroit as a logical fit. That's not necessarily based on any new info, but the Wings have the assets to do it and every reason to be aggressive as they march toward the playoffs for the first time in a decade. Yzerman and Drury are similarly tight-lipped, so it's hard for anyone to get a firm read, but multiple people I spoke to today are wondering the same thing. I'm not making any predictions at this stage -- I'm sure teams are involved who we're not talking about as much -- but that's where my mind keeps drifting with 19 hours to go until the deadline. OK, back to the game... #NYR
