@CoupNBA He certainly lives comfortably in his niche, outside of the occasional shark movie, but that's ok. I will continue to enjoy the Statham niche

Kel’el Ware entered with 7 minutes left in the first quarter and never sat 19 minute first half Dominant 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 blocks (Triple double with blocks watch)

Imagine just trying to help people avoid losses in crypto, and you just get people that constantly tell you how they are going to be so happy when I get something wrong. Dude, I get things wrong all the time. Get used to that. I'm just providing my opinion about a very risky asset class. And any opinion that does not match the agreed-upon bull narrative is immediately mocked by everyone who believes in the supercycle.

@flasportsbuzz What is stopping Heat and Bucks from doing a handshake deal to offer the 2 picks now to get the deal done and come June we draft and trade this years pick in a separate move for cash considerations or 2 2nd rounders that will never convey because of restrictions?

Windy feels really strongly about this because at least 2 of Warriors' 4 unprotected firsts likely would be conveyed when Steph is probably retired and Giannis is all alone and GS is rebuilding. But does Bucks GM Horst want to wait around that long for all these picks? That's why a team that can offer a high lottery pick this year (like Hawks) could have an edge, though Marc Stein says Atlanta is not pursuing.
Fullcourtpass@Fullcourtpass

Brian Windhorst on Giannis to Warriors: "If there is a deal thats going to be done before the dealine, in my belief, Golden State is the team to make that deal" (h/t @NBA__Courtside)

@CoupNBA What does the shot chart look like for transition attempts?

This may sound counter-intuitive, but in terms of possession efficiency and league rankings, the Heat are actually scoring better in the halfcourt than in transition. That's olstered by 39 3pt%. Their transition has been more about volume (No. 3) than efficiency (No. 19).

One aspect I'm keeping a close eye on is that due to the screen-less nature of their new offense, the Heat are suddenly one of the highest volume isolation teams in a decade (30+ per 100). Could be a pivot point for them. Against Spurs they generated 0.32 ppp on 34 iso's.

As we all do triple takes watching Miami, Erik Spoelstra and Bam Adebayo have their team bought into what could end up one of the most unique offenses in modern NBA history. Let's dive into the Heat's dramatic revamp from every angle. After The Buzzer: youtu.be/eFsAUV5M49k?si…

I don’t like trading a talented player for a bunch of less talented players (scrubs actually) ……while also receiving no draft assets in return. I would hold Wiggs contract and keep fishing versus taking that Lakers poo poo platter. We gonna be stingy in ALLLLLL these Star trade negotiations to just dump Wiggins for scraps?

Little bit more next week but this about wraps it up for the season on our end. Bit of a funky year to launch some new franchises so we very much appreciate all of you that came along for the ride. More coming.
Couper Moorhead@CoupNBA

Nobody would call this a successful season for the Heat, but as Erik Spoelstra says the team deserves criticism there are still forward-leaning lessons to be learned and a proper context for each player. After The Buzzer: youtu.be/qaF-L-Ffmt4

Andor is so far and away the best (live action) thing to come out of the Star Wars universe since the original trilogy, it's not even close. (It's also the best *anything* to come out of that franchise but I don't want the animated show fans to be too mad.)

In two Play-In games, Bam Adebayo defended 56 pick-and-rolls. Chicago and Atlanta combined to produce just 0.61 points per pick. In the 25 actions used by ballhandlers (shot/foul/turnover), Adebayo allowed 0.50 points per.

@flasportsbuzz On the chance Heat win both and make it as the 8 seed, where would our pick be then?

Whether that 9-10 game, two weeks from tonight, would be in Miami or Chicago must be sorted out. Winner of 9-10 game would play loser of 7-8 game on Friday night, April 18 on TNT, for right to play Cleveland. (That game would be in Atlanta or Orlando if these standings hold.)
Barry Jackson@flasportsbuzz

If Heat doesn't move up from 9th or 10th in East, Miami will play its play-in game on Wednesday, April 16 in the early evening window on ESPN, NBA just announced. Heat trails Orlando and Atlanta by 2 games for 7 and 8.
