@mr_merge @adamknops I'm always amazed how often people fall for the same social engineering scams. Haven't heard about the Bitcoin one but anything to take the trade away from the marketplace is a red flag

@Mdiac_ @adamknops Same MO as a few months back that caught out a few people. Another one I’ve heard is trying to pay with Bitcoin. Best to always assume you are being scammed.

If someone offers a punk + ETH trade, it is almost certainly a scam
In this case, a deal was agreed over X and the seller sent their punk to a middleperson. Then the scammer swapped out the real seller for a fake in a discord chat, minted a believable ENS name and directed the middleperson to return the punk back to them (the scammer) after the deal 'fell through'
