The baseball game is good example of disconnect between Congress and American people. Lawmakers think it makes them look good to have a bipartisan event, not frivolous for literally playing a game the day before a government shutdown and weeks ahead of a default.

There's no easy answer, but one thing we DO support is taking votes that don't pass. It still gets people on the record. When there's a real impasse, that is necessary. What concerns us a lot, is the rhetoric. Dems need to save accusations and pointed language for the other side.

Combining the smaller bipartisan infrastructure bill with the larger Build Back Better bill was always a tactical risk. We can now see why. One side pushes for supporting Biden's agenda and doing good things for America. The other side speaks to doing what you can, when you can.
