So I guess the question is: to what extent does a drastic reduction in the cost of producing code entail a drastic reduction in the cost of producing software? The information environment seems very weird here. I don't think anyone knows the answer to this question. Lots of people have very strong opinions in various directions.

It's rude to post raw LLM output on social media, even—or especially—when marked as such. "When someone forwards text they themselves have not considered, they are asking you to do work they chose not to do. The asymmetric effort makes it rude."

I decided to copy Chapman's strategy. To my astonishment it worked, and I proceeded to have the best week of my 15 months recovery to date.

I had read a post by @Meaningness that describes how, in a similar situation, he was able to push through his fatigue, run six miles, and rid himself of his exhaustion.

The center is explicitly modeled on the Berkeley Alembic, but with an emphasis on growing up rather than waking up. In fact, we designed it with significant feedback from leaders there, as well as from spiritual practitioners across the world, from many faith backgrounds.

That means we'll be offering psychological training on things like shadow work, exposure/courage work, grounding and anti-dissociative training, cognitive security and defense against the digital arts - at scale, for no-to-little cost, to the general public.

The problem with classic Dharma approaches to Western psychological problems are well known, as are the failure modes of more materialistic Western spiritualities. But in the age of AI, the need for mature practitioners with strong senses of self has never been greater.
