@DavidMasabo @TheOmniLiberal LMAO Trust me, I understand. Your argument makes no sense. When two scientists disagree on morality, they can say, "we have a difference in philosophy." If two religious people admit "we have a difference in philosophy," they must also admit, "our morality is not objective."

@meatisomalley @TheOmniLiberal This isn't about science vs religion, though the debate can be had. The question asked was what happens when two religions disagree but you can just the same ask what happens when two sciences or scientists disagree

@DavidMasabo @TheOmniLiberal scientists disagree... and they usually believe morality is relative. Most religions assert morality is ordained and objective. 'semantics' would mean similar outcomes. A man's life is not 'semantics.' 'Cultural differences' are not objective. A point for moral relativity.

@TheOmniLiberal Scientists also disagree, this proves nothing. The fundamental precepts of most religions are very similar, the disagreement in my eyes is usually semantics and culture based differences

@Diversity_2112 @ReviewsPossum I'm not sure what the problem is. If the object is far away enough, parallax is going to be minimal anyways. You could probably enhance the effect with screen space depth compression/decompression, but idk

@ReviewsPossum This is a really cool aesthetic but you'd need some magic to build an open world that dynamically applies parallax to 2D approximations of distant objects separately from the 2.5D near distance objects. IDK how you'd ever replicate it outside of video.

Actual zero day vulnerability researcher and exploit developer here. Top-of-the-field skills across Browser full-chain, hypervisor VM escape, OS kernel and baseband on record since before AI existed. And a proud solo owner of a zero day intelligence company. Anthropic just dropped the mic on my industry. Where do I begin…………

@theo Sometimes this is a psyop. We already know Anthropic intentionally exposes fake tools so reverse engineers can't tell how exactly it works. Safe to assume that any parameter claude sees, is either fake, or Anthropic doesn't care if claude/people know about it or not.

Fine I'll take the L here. Just repro'd this 3 times. I should stop assuming competence from Anthropic.

Fun fact: LLMs have zero idea how they are configured. They don't know what GPUs they're running on. They don't know what temperature or reasoning level they have set. They don't know if they've been quantized or not. They're just doing next-token prediction. As always.

@JLarky @linguinelabs Did you even watch the video? He discounts all the hype, except for Mythos' unique ability to find zero days. You are remedial as fuck. Mythos scored way higher in coding benchmarks than any other AI before it, and claude already had the best coding model. This isn't absurd.

@linguinelabs It's sad to see him falling victim to the hype machine. There's nothing special about Mythos (even that "it's too dangerous" marketing ploy has been played multiple times)

@ImCryinSon @B0nesJam Depends entirely on the show, there is no one answer for this. For a VFX-heavy series, where shot-for-shot relighting etc is desirable, more than 4.

@AllstarDevitt @NicholasLight again, misdirected intent. even if they added those vfx artists it’s not guaranteed the art director would greenlight it stylistically. they have hiring and leadership issues not budget issues. i’m sure they could get the artists if they wanted to.

@NejloveanuM @NicholasLight Because it's not their full-time job? With enough VFX artists, this look is absolutely achievable, at least for important moments in the animation. Would probably be toned down and less dramatic in reality.

@NicholasLight Dont you wander why they did not do a full episode of before and after? And only 5 sec? ...common dude, im not defending poor animation, but there is a limit on this things...

@TheTomyork @TheSaicoPepe @Mr555Sato to be absolutely clear, they have a much larger team of animators. This is the SFX/compositing team. Which is reponsible for color grade and other vfx like the lighting effects like you see in the example above.

@TESSERACT___ @Peakanime0 I thought the rebuild movies were embarrassingly bad in terms of original narrative. Animation may be cleaner, but that's really the only advantage, and even then the old anime clears in plenty of areas. I would only recommend rebuild folks for existing NGE superfans.

@Peakanime0 I've never seen either of them and have been debating it - which version is actually the best to watch in 2026? Is 1995 in 480p and 2007 in 1080p? Any reason to watch the 2007 version over 1995?

@HistronicMonstr @olexstein @AskJentoft @NINtendo_maya The limitation is that you have almost no control over how the splat works. There's no shader pipeline. You can't decimate geometry, create lod, etc. if you ever want to change the asset, you will have to replace it entirely.

Gaussian splats are a funny technology because they produce these highly detailed 3D spaces that can be rendered in real time but you can't even use them for animation or games
Plasmanode@plasma_node

So this company 4vd.ai created animated gaussian splats. Hyper realistic. Meanwhile Nvidia is giving us AI slop filter DLSS
