we open-sourced glm-5.1
agents could do about 20 steps by the end of last year. glm-5.1 can do 1,700 rn. autonomous work time may be the most important curve after scaling laws. glm-5.1 will be the first point on that curve that the open-source community can verify with their own hands.

@bridgebench It's strange. Didn't face hallucination recently with any other models in the top tier. GLM-5.1 is now ranking higher on some benchmarks than Opus 4.6, but still saw this hallucination at very basic stuff. 🤷♂️

Dear Indian Railways, what’s this behaviour? Cleaning the entire coach in front of foreign tourists only to throw all the waste on the tracks this isn’t cleanliness, it’s pure hypocrisy. If this is your idea of Swachh Bharat, it’s a shameful mockery of it. @AshwiniVaishnaw @RailMinIndia

Please help, people are stuck in traffic here for an hour. This is so unnecessary way of handling such repair. Why do manual barriers exist and why grp is here if they could not manage traffic manually for public convenience. Isn’t thats how crossings operated for centuries? So why not in such emergency situations?

As a European, I used to feel very anxious about tipping culture in the US

@bsilone @levelsio It's a lot of struggle (actual/perceived) to maintain skill and productivity levels among employees for organizations. They would wish to avoid the hassle of upskilling or productivity checks on the slow ones. AI will help in such filters, leading to fewer accumulating wealth. 🤷♂️

A tractor is a great parallel to AI because it helps people do their work easier and faster
150 years ago 70-90% of people were employed in agriculture
Today it's just 1%
Because of mechanization (machines), industrialization (mass farming) and automation (computers) we needed way less people to produce more food
The wishful thinking that especially devs have that they'll just use AI to make their life easier is true but also a company might need 10x or 100x less devs to do the same work
Will that mean the work just become more advanced so companies need the same amount of people again? I'm not sure, didn't happen with agriculture

@levelsio As a developer, AI just makes me a faster more efficient worker like a tractor makes miners more efficient. AI can only code very basic stuff at this point and it doesn't get very far before it needs a developer to help it along. We are still a long way away from replacement.
