Narendra Modi's biggest failure is that he valued sycophancy over talent. Dharmendra Pradhan, Nirmala Sitharaman, Hardeep Puri, Giriraj Singh, Rajnath Singh, Jaishankar... all shining examples of pedestrian quality work and top tier bhakti. People with merit have realised that they have no future in the country. Cockroach Movement is a result of this dishonesty in our nation. I believe this feeling will fester and grow larger if these guys continue to ruin the nation.

“हाथ कंगन को आरसी क्या, पढ़े-लिखे को फ़ारसी क्या!” PIB के अधिकृत बयान के अनुसार, आज से ठीक बारह साल पहले 26 मई 2014 को जब प्रधानमंत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी ने सत्ता संभाली थी, उस दिन भारतीय basket का कच्चा तेल $108.05 प्रति बैरल था और डॉलर-रुपया exchange rate 58.59 रुपए थी। उस समय पेट्रोल ₹71.51 और डीज़ल ₹56.71 प्रति लीटर मिल रहा था। आज कच्चे तेल की कीमत $99 प्रति बैरल से कम है, लेकिन पेट्रोल और डीज़ल के दाम बढ़कर क्रमशः ₹102.12 और ₹95.20 प्रति लीटर हो गए हैं। यानी कच्चा तेल सस्ता हुआ, लेकिन पेट्रोल करीब 42.8 % और डीज़ल करीब 67.9 % महँगा हो गया। हर अर्थशास्त्री जानता है कि पेट्रोल-डीज़ल की महँगाई का असर हर क्षेत्र पर पड़ता है। परिवहन से लेकर खाद्य वस्तुओं तक, आम आदमी पर महँगाई की मार बढ़ती है। इसके बावजूद सरकार की मुनाफ़ाख़ोरी जारी है। सवाल सीधा है कि जब कच्चा तेल सस्ता हुआ, तो पेट्रोल-डीज़ल महँगा क्यों? जनता को राहत क्यों नहीं?

एक बात याद रखियेगा। तेल का संकट, रुपये का गिरना, बैलेंस ऑफ पेमेन्ट क्राइसिस, महंगाई, मुद्रास्फीति, इन्वेस्टमेंट गिरावट, मार्किट क्रेश, बेरोजगारी, डिसरप्शन, औऱ तमाम स्थाई आर्थिक गिरावट का नजला झेलते समय, अपने आगे के जीवन मे याद रखियेगा, और अपने बच्चो को बताइयेगा.. कि सस्ता तेल तो बाजार भरपूर था। बस, उसे खरीदने में हमारी फट रही थी। -- इतिहास दर्ज करेगा, कि यह तेल नही, डरपोक लीडरशिप से का पैदा हुआ क्राइसिस था।

But here’s what you’re hiding: - When crude was $115, you FROZE prices for 137 days straight in 2022; because 5 states were going to elections - When crude FELL back to $75–80, you still didn’t pass on the relief - March 2024: crude still at $80+, you cut ₹2/litre; not for relief, for Lok Sabha votes - Meanwhile IOCL + BPCL + HPCL posted ₹81,000 crore RECORD profit in FY24 (PIB’s own data) - Modi govt collected ₹38.89 LAKH CRORE in fuel taxes since 2014 The “under-recovery” isn’t because of crude prices. It’s because you weaponised fuel pricing for elections for 10 years, and now the bill has arrived. Who will pay for it? Not BJP. Not Hardeep Puri. The same ₹100/litre petrol-buying Indian who already paid ₹38 lakh crore in taxes.
