@meetshahms I can tell you right away that I'm looking at MMYT. The price isn't super low (3.6x EV/Sales) but it is a very fragmented network, just like Europe, which should lead to high operating margins over time.

@meetshahms this kind of stocks you need to run as far away as possible. 1. it's Hong Kong 2. home care products Chinese consumers will trust private labels from Sam's Club/Aldi's then P&G/Unilever. domestic brands are a bit dodgy. plus grocery chains will give them crappy margins

not a big fan of Hong Kong stocks but 992 Lenovo looks cheap here: Windows 11 upgrade demand, AI PC, AI server demand, liquid cooling solution...etc. Not the sexiest name but seems to have decent value.

Uber has totally lost it. Last night Uber app showed a fare of US$ 75 for a Uber X trip from Penn Station to mid town. I walked for about 10 mins and then got Uber for 43 dollars (I had bags otherwise it would have been a short "pleasant" walk). I checked with the driver as to how much he had got for the trip and he showed me that he got US$ 11 plus one dollar bonus. So the company kept more than 70% of the amount. How does surge pricing work if the drivers don't see the surge in pricing to react with greater supply? Will have to see if Uber stock is worth buying to hedge this gouging 🙃

Pulak Prasad, one of the leading public market investors, and known for his lazy investing style (buy great businesses and hold forever) on 'not' using AI thus far. If you narrow your top of funnel through well-thought through signals / proxies such as ROCE (his key filter), and then invest after a lot of primary research (talking to customers / suppliers, management), then AI may not add a lot of value here.
