I welcome the landmark adoption of the new Cybercrime Convention by the #UNGA. As the first anti-crime treaty in 20 years, this is a major win for multilateralism. @UNODC will be supporting Member States to sign, ratify and implement this new tool, for a safer digital world.

During the training, UNODC organized a field visit to Kampala's Multiple Inland Container Depot 🇺🇬 Participants applied their skills in hands-on inspections of timber shipments, practicing risk profiling, wood species ID, crime scene management and evidence collection techniques.

🚢🪵UNODC organized a 5-day Regional Training on Timber Shipment Inspections and Risk Assessment with customs, forestry, and CITES management authorities from 12 African countries to enhance capacities to combat timber trafficking and enforce CITES regulations 🤝
