@mehdiy_fa @nikitabier The exact same thing happened to me on X. I don’t really care about the impact on my account, but it seems like a loophole that coordinated bad actors could exploit to suppress others. A bit concerning.

X needs to address the use of mass blocking to silence political dissent. X’s algorithm reduces reach once someone is blocked by a large number of users. My account has been targeted by the Iranian regime and a political block with this tactic. @nikitabier

@cinnabar0x It is totally understandable for Saudis to look for nukes to confront threats from Iran and Israel. The entire region needs to understand that they are on a dangerous path.

Iran, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia are all becoming near-nuclear states. This can’t be good for the Middle East. Sooner or later, one will cross the weaponization threshold and the rest will join. If you think Middle Eastern politics is complicated now, wait until then.

این چیزی نیست که یک مثال نقض بخواد درستش کنه. اون توییت یکی از ریتوییتهاش از یک آدم خیلی پرفالور است و اون ریتوییت بردش به یک جمع مخاطب دیگری که مخاطب خود من نیستند و احتمال لایکشون کمه. بدون اون ریتوییت خیلی کمتر بازدید میگرفت. بعد هم لایک تنها یکی از پارامترهای با ارزش بودن توییته. مثلا من توییتهای بعضی از طرفدارهای حکومت رو کامل میخونم چون ممکنه نکات جالبی داشته باشه ولی لایکشون نمیکنم. این اطلاعات رو شبکه‌های اجتماعی جمع میکنند.

آیا منظور شما اینکه بوسیله بلاک کردن گروهی میزان بازدید پست‌های شما پایین میاد؟ در پست نمونه بازدید پست شما نزدیک ۶ هزار بوده و لایک ۵۰ بوده یعنی کمتر از ۱ درصد. پس محدوده بازدید شما خوب هست اما بینندگان شما علاقه‌ای به لایک پست شما ندارن و این میتواند یازدید پست را محدود‌تر کند.

It wasn’t hard to see that Trump is finally going to lose his patience. Unfortunately, this is not good for people of Iran and the region.

@markpash @nikitabier You don’t know what your reach could have been. I have heard the algorithms punish you if you get blocked a lot which is probably designed to suppress spam and offensive accounts and now is being misused by political groups.

I've been blocked a lot during the last year. Generally by reformists, startup ecosystem profiteers... etc. But my posts are mostly inoffensive. It seems to have started almost immediately after the 12-day war. I haven't seen it cause any issue with my reach though, still get plenty of impressions/likes etc.

@thinkingheights @nikitabier Thank you for seeing this beyond politics. Unfortunately, this has been an issue for a lot of people across the board. My guess is this is due to X’s automated algorithm and their lack of resources to look into such issues.

My account has been reset 7 times just in the last month ...

I hear about this from many Iranian activists. Both the Iranian regime and certain opposition groups are utilizing this tactic to silence dissent.
