One of my "If he wanted to, he would" stories is that while I was at the hospital waiting during my husband's 8+ hour spinal surgery, I received a series of scheduled texts from him with the names and addresses of book stores, craft stores, and restaurants that were near the hospital and reminders to eat and that he was excited to get out of surgery and see me again.
