Just sprinting. As a community, we've been making robots as fast as possible Yet the number of job openings in manufacturing has more than doubled in the last 10 years, from 200,000 in 2013 to 520,000 in 2023. We need more robots!

@hugs Plenty of chamber test facilities for doing temp testing… including for robots 🤖. Ran all our robots thru temp testing for both freezing and molten hot days. Just remember in many of these cases, people are already working in these environments and that’s why they want robots.

This is just one of several insane requirements. Will make for an *excellent* story someday, if/when I'm ever allowed to share it.

End-to-end testing in robotics is never dull. A new customer requirement is "Robot must function at -30°C... for several hours". I need to find a place where I can test my robot at that temp. Any ideas, other than making a quick trip to the South Pole?

@DroopyTired @shark_gal @davenewworld_2 It’s important because most of the time women struggle to respond in the moment and we feel alone. As women in STEM these things happen on a regular basis and make us feel alone and isolated, hearing these stories helps us to connect and know we’re not alone in these struggles

@shark_gal @davenewworld_2 The question isn't whether it happens but to also discuss the fact that there are men/people that support women getting into science. You want to give the whole picture, not just the bad stuff, right?

@Maren_Bannon Because of the stigma… already hard as a woman entrepreneur… last thing I want people to think is I had to raise venture from an all woman fund… it sucks but that’s how I think it would be perceived… speaking as someone who raised $100M in venture and had a successful exit 🤷‍♂️

We’re a 100% female owned VC fund and just posted our first full time investing job opening. So far, 80% of the applications have been from men. Where are all the women who want to break into VC??

In April 2002, I had the rare pleasure to participate in NASA’s micro-gravity program and fly on the KC-135 with @AstroMD_Yvonne, today, almost exactly 20 years later, I got to see her again at MARS. She is a true legend and has inspired me so much!
