freelancing is not passive income or working from the beach every month you need to find work, deliver, get paid. then with what's left of your time and energy you build your own stuff the balance between making a living and building something yours is the real game

@matt__makes I understand, even though I see a lot of copy/paste tweets that bring no useful content…I find it pretty sad

@meltinbit agree, always think it's just engagement farming for the person starting the thread... but even knowing this, I can't help but commenting anytime I see such a post, takes only a few seconds...

do people actually discover products from “drop your SaaS below” posts? Because every time I see one, it’s 200 replies and zero conversations. Has anyone actually found a tool they use daily from one of those threads?

the app store is drowning in AI generated apps same weather app, same habit tracker, same "powered by GPT" landing page. copy paste with a different icon building something real takes more than a weekend prompt session😅 quality will win. it always does 💪🏻 #indiedev #appstore

before you hit publish on that AI generated post, read it i keep seeing CSS called a programming language, Claude Code called an IDE, Laravel called a frontend framework if you don't know enough to catch the mistakes, maybe don't post about it yet😅

Your SaaS just hit $10K/month. Someone offers you $500K to buy it. Do you sell it and start something new? Or Keep it and continue to grow it?

@meltinbit haha "and instead..." yeah the walk turns into a whiteboard session in your head. at least the fresh air makes the bugs feel less personal

saturday rule: laptop stays closed until after coffee ...ok i lasted 12 minutes😅 the problem with being a solo dev is that your brain never stops shipping ideas even on weekends how do you actually disconnect? 🤔

@meltinbit lol the walking notes thing is real. half my best architecture decisions came from shower thoughts and random walks. the other half from 3am panic debugging
