@h8manOfficial It’s strangely addictive. Was tempted to do something similar over the years but never did. Golden dragons, gooey blobs, fire, faking spells… awesome!

@melvmay I discovered zx spectrum version only this year. I was so amazed that I immediately wanted to create remake, but found it already has 20 or so remakes, so I decided to just port to modern graphics layer.

Testing the low-level 2D Physics sample on iPhone. I added a spring power–boost feature that’s triggered by multi-touch input. github.com/keijiro/Scooper

Testing on a mobile web browser. It’s single-threaded on the web, but it still performs fairly well with this number of rigid bodies.

@SlackHQ It's a real shame that each time we get an update, key preferences keep changing. Today it was no channels showing because I had to go into preferences and filter conv -> All and uncheck "Hide muted channels from your sidebar" which changed to checked for zero reason.

Waow! Updated to Unity 6 LTS today! Expected a week of debugging... Instead, the game runs perfectly!😍 Here I am playing the most demanding build, full speed ignite. Superstellar chilling at 200-300+ fps, run avg 500+. Not a single drop below 100.🔥 #madewithunity #gamedev

@melvmay Nice! I need to start following your posts more closely as a source of ideas for my Unity tips (if you don't mind that is) 🙂

@sergiodelvalle Thanks, super excited about the possibilities! Moving to a new physics engine and not breaking existing projects isn't easy so we're being careful and doing it across different releases. For now, this stands on its own but it's already super powerful.

@sergiodelvalle This doesn't affect the existing 2D physics. There's obviously huge behavioural changes so we're planning migration of the existing API and components to use this very same public API in future releases. To aid this, you'll soon see many changes inc perf in the existing physics.

@melvmay I don't usually download alpha versions but I'm tempted to try this before LTS launches... Also, does this mean that performance of standard 2d physics will improve with 6.3 LTS? (improvements are always appreciated ☺️)

@kidapu The current plan is to land this year in Unity 6.3 but sometimes things change so it's impossible to promise that unfortunately. Eager to see this in the hands of devs though!

@kidapu Note that I say "low level" however it's what was used to write all these demos and is still very, very intuitive and accessible and includes all the gizmo rendering and debugging support. Approximately 90% of it can be called in a job too.

@kidapu Absolutely! It's still on track for a Unity 6.x release. It'll be released as a "Phase #1" which is the low-level API which would allow you to write your own higher level physics system if you wanted. Phase #2 will be integration into existing components.
