If China didn't have a Communist Party in power, their entire industry would be seized by corporations that would strip-mine their resources & bleed capital out of the country. Left underdeveloped & impoverished, with zero chance of progress, just like South American states.
When I told my Dad I was gay in 1995 he said something that will always stay with me. He told me about his best friend in the army that was in the closet and had children and was from a deeply religious family where the “Gay was prayed away.” My father started crying (he has only ever cried twice in my presence) and said that he found his friend hanging from the rafters in the barracks. Suicide at aged 29, three kids, an oblivious wife. He said “As long as you are safe, happy and loved that is all I want for you son. I would prefer an alive gay son to one that kills himself because he is gay.” #PrideMonth2026
I grew up in the 1980s when the majority of Brits opposed LGBTQ. Opinion only saw a major shift in the late 90s until today. Britain was also massively racist in the 80s before becoming less racist after the year 2000. Now it's back to being blatantly racist again with X leading the way. My point being that social attitudes change like the wind, but Islamic teachings remain constant and unchanging. Alhamdulilah.
