BBC Radio Scotland under its new boss Victoria Easton Riley continues to decimate its arts & culture coverage & dumb down more. Three talented women presenters culled: Michelle McManus, Len Pennie and Nicola Meighan. Not a good look for #BBC & #BBCScotland heraldscotland.com/news/26044832.…

Hippodrome Silent Film Festival
What a joy to catch Jay Weissberg (Director of @PordenoneSilent) last month, and ask his thoughts on #HippFest2026! "It's lovely to be in a community where the cinema that has been a part of this community for so long remains a vital element in the structure of the town." 📽️❤️

The Angela Rayner scandal ran on repeat for days on end by The Mail and GB News. Richard Tice - no mentions at all. Why would that be?

Please enjoy this video from last year in which Richard Tice opines liberally about Angela Rayner’s tax affairs and calls for her departure. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he applies this very strict moral principle to his own tax arrangements.

@AllisonPearson @BBCNews @BBCr4today Gosh, @AllisonPearson, the Israeli govt and IDF decimated Gaza and now are well on the way to doing the same in Lebanon… and you blame the BBC?! The antisemitic attacks in the UK are absolutely unforgivable but they are not the fault of any news outlet.

Many Jews hold @BBCNews responsible for the horrific rise in antisemitism. They hate Jeremy of Arabia Bowen. The biased coverage - often taking the word of terrorists - is a disgrace. The BBC has blood on its hands. @BBCr4today

Isabel Oakeshott who you’ll recall screeched like a banshee thrice daily for months on end to get Angela Rayner to resign, is here crying because a right wing newspaper has ran two fully researched and accurate stories about Tice’s ongoing tax shittery

Our daughter, Rachel Corrie, was killed in 2003 in Gaza, while trying to protect a Palestinian home facing illegal destruction by the Israeli military. She was 23 years old. The massive, armored Caterpillar D-9 bulldozer that crushed her was operated by two Israeli soldiers and manufactured in the United States. It was the same type of militarized bulldozer that US presidents from George W. Bush through to Donald Trump have delivered to Israel. Today, as the destruction of Palestinian homes has only become more commonplace, not to mention the horror of Israel’s genocide, Senator Bernie Sanders will force a vote in the Senate to try to end this cycle of death by banning the transfer of D-9 bulldozers to Israel. We hope he will not take this stand alone. No policy can bring back those taken from us by these actions—children and other loved ones. But the Senate now has an opportunity to honor the memories of our daughter, other Americans, and thousands of Palestinian civilians killed, and to show that their deaths, and all the destruction, will no longer be condoned and funded. We hope those elected to represent us, the American people, understand the message that voting to block these D-9 bulldozers will send. This will not be a symbolic gesture, but a concrete step toward the protection of human life. thenation.com/article/politi…

I’m not a Catholic, but wouldn’t it be great if we could get #Ilovethepope trending as he’s plainly a good, decent, principled human being, and, on Musk’s platform, this will annoy a lot of powerful, evil people. Do please repost.
