Laila Soueif, academic and mother of imprisoned political activist Alaa Abd El Fattah, has completed her eighth month of hunger strike protesting the refusal of authorities to release her son at the end of his imprisonment. The strike and protest have left her physically exhausted.

In Gaza, the collective shame of the century continues unabated and unstopped, in defiance of every norm of international law and morale. The Palestinians, exhausted by relentless attacks on their bodies and souls are abandoned to their tormentors. Shocking images of summary executions, mass forced displacements, and other egregious abuses strike us, leaving us stunned and bewildered, unable to comprehend that what is happening in Gaza is truly real. What a disgraceful testament to our global failure to protect basic human rights . The United Nations, once a believed beacon of hope and a force for peace, are crumbling under the weight of this shame - and the pressure of the inaction or complicity of its most powerful member states.

Estimada Almudena, Entiendo que la invitaron a participara en la gira de medios dentro el hospital Sahel (#مستشفى_الساحل) en Haret Hreik. Pueden por favor pedirle a su anfitrión que la lleve a los lugares específicos que revelamos? Le recomiendo no perder el tiempo en jugadas dentro de los departamentos médicos. Pida que la lleven al refugio privado de Hezbolá. Durgham Street, edificio nº 7, Airport Road, Haret Hreik. Las aberturas de entrada y salida están en el edificio Al-Ahmadi y el edificio del Centro Al-Sahel. De esa manera podrás llevarle información de primera mano a los televidentes en #España. De lo contrario, estás jugando a manos de aquellos que desean encubrir a #Hezbollah. Al bunker no se entra por el hospital sino por el edificio de al lado. Compruébelo y aviseme si estoy en lo cierto. Por favor, muéstrele esta foto en árabe si se hacen los que no la entienden.
