We already require politicians to disclose donors, lobbyists to register, and foreign agents to report their funding , because money changes incentives and the public has a right to know who is influencing opinion. Why not require protesters to disclose if they’re paid? If you’re holding a sign for cash, say it. That’s not free speech, that’s a gig, and people deserve transparency.
