What are YOU talking about? Do you know how garage sales work? Have you been to any? People price things to ACTUALLY sell, because the whole point is ACTUALLY selling. Go to literally any garage sale. Most things are hella cheap, and the sellers are always down to haggle lower, because they want the stuff gone. There’s a reason why I suggest anyone who knows cards, and knows their value, not even bother putting them out. This is the OP’s whole point as well. Nobody wants to pay market value for collectibles at a garage sale. They’ll do it on Facebook Marketplace, or in physical shops. If you’re putting stuff out at a garage sale, you will get haggled, you will get lowballed. By having those items out to sell, you are showing you’re okay with this fact of life, otherwise you wouldn’t put it out to sell. I don’t get why everyone in here is having a hard time understanding these simple concepts.

Listen, people giving you a hard time, and I totally get why… But everyone forgets the point of a garage sale is to clear out what you consider junk, and try to retain a little kickback for your time. Garage sales aren’t card shops, or antique and collectible stores. If you want to pull out TCG Player and comp your cards correctly, then don’t put cards out in the garage sale, take them to Facebook Marketplace. Otherwise, be prepared to be lowballed. That’s always how garage sales have worked.
