@Ben_Reinhardt @jasoncrawford Ah, interesting. That makes sense!

@mettler @jasoncrawford Structure of scientific revolutions is awesome but the opposite of data-driven.
In fact, one of the reasons for an extensive catalogue is to be able to evaluate Kuhn's model. Right now our entire understanding of the technoscientific system is anecdata and aggregates.

so, one of my (lovely) existing investors wants to put in more money in advance of an intended big priced round.
he's trying to figure out what actual tangible advantages there are to putting the money in now vs later when it actually prices. we raised everything on an MFN safe with no cap and no discount, like the back half of the YC standard deal.
i'm explaining "well it's second order advantages, we're putting money to work, and for most they're getting to invest in a round and at terms where they wouldn't otherwise have a chance, yada yada"
finally i'm like, well, also we can throw you a party. we'll do demos and put live AI art and maybe even demo some AI music through my soundsystem.
feel really proud of myself -- yeah that should be interesting. also lots of his friends could be investors
but i just realized, it is possible that by the terms of the MFN, I will be obligated to throw *all* of my investors a party. some sort of lightcell buffettpalloza

if god wanted us to have energy abundance, there would be an immense fusion reactor in the sky that is visible every single day if you look up

The future of Nuclear looks nothing like the past: big, expensive, and stationary — instead it may be: small, mass-produced, and mobile.
