DeGen Rememes is a little experiment made by @mfer2355 and me for the @9256memes ecosystem. We've created a generative algorithm in p5js and explored all the possibilities with 5 of the strongest and most famous Memes from the @punk6529 collection. We decided to mint 5 unique 1/1 pieces using fixed parameters, but at the same time, we want to give everyone the opportunity to "play with the algorithm". This is why, in the upcoming days, we will release interactive pages where you can create your own ReMemes! Both the art and the algorithm are under CC0 license: you can save videos, make GIFs, and mint your own ReMemes! A bit of technical stuffs: the artwork in the NFT metadata is an mp4 video; in the NFT description, however, you will find the arweave link for the actual generative artwork, viewable in HD on any device, with resolution adjusting to each screen. On mobile devices, you might experience some slowdowns because the code is developed using WEBGL which can be performance-intensive. I've learned that code optimization and compatibility with various services (like OpenSea, Manifold, etc.) are some of the most challenging parts of coding! We believe that using videos as metadata still provides an opportunity for everyone to view the artwork correctly. I hope you all enjoy the ReMemes!
