@WanderingPsych I lost my dad last April. Try to be kind to yourself. There is no right or wrong way to feel. How you feel about losing your mum will vary from day to day. From hour to hour. And however you feel is how you feel. Lean on your friends. Reach out to them when you need to talk. X

I will delete this later, but... my mum has died this evening. I've phoned various relatives and hugged my kids but now I'm at a loss of what to do. What do you do when your mum dies? I feel adrift. (250 miles away so can't quite pop around tonight....)

@HeenanRachael Heartbreaking. I wasn’t able to visit my dad in the care home when we knew he was near his end (dementia). So he died there this April with no family at his side. I still feel guilt about that. The care home staff were always very kind to him though and they were with him.
