Tired Of Missing Layups? Try This. In this video, Breakthrough Camps trainer Paris Davis shows you a vital move to finishing at the rim and making more layups. Also, this will help you keep the ball from defenders, so they don't strip or block you when going up from a lay up. It probably should be the first lay up that you master before worrying about other lay ups or finishing moves. In fact, there are many players at all levels of basketball who haven't mastered this. If you can make this lay up from a distance of 2 to 8 feet with either hand approaching from all angles of the hoop, you will be very hard to guard!
