@Austen You can get a steroid shot ~1 x year that will cure you 100% for 6-8wks. Save it for your worst season and it’s a godsend.

@thesamparr WSJ recently wrote about this. 1) more walking 2) less processed food / additives wsj.com/health/wellnes…

Lots of Americans vacationing in Europe say the same thing:
- I didn’t eat healthy (they normally eat healthy in USA)
- I ate a lot.
- I walked normal amounts.
And yet:
- they lose weight
- feel better (less full, less achy).
Any data on why?
And What about your experience? Did you notice this too when you moved from Europe to America or Vice versus?

@immad Takes a bit. I found that once I could run 5 miles consistently (~4X per week) without stopping, it turned from feeling ugh to really good.

@thesamparr @jwmares has a great newsletter on this. TLDR; stop wearing plastics (in most popular athletic clothing)

@rohindhar Today hotels are largely selling a completely different product. Though, many seem to be buying houses and condos near their hotel to more directly compete.

@thogge @kimmaicutler 💯……The “our hands are tied we must keep breaking things” argument is so absurd

@kimmaicutler Change the constitution if it requires you to harm your state and the country. It’s not a good enough reason to do something stupid.

For the 50th time, California is constitutionally mandated to refund taxpayers when budget growth is faster levels set in 1979 + a set rate of population growth & inflation. Guv can call it whatever he wants but he legally has to do it bc of the Gann limit cato.org/commentary/gan…
immad@immad
A slightly counter intuitive thing about inflation is that to fight it you have to reduce consumer demand. California and UK politicians giving money to consumers to help them handle inflation makes inflation worse. These type of policy is what leads to hyper inflation.

@immad @kimmaicutler Your point is still valid! If they had any brains they’d amend the constitution

@OberholzerM @rohindhar Totally! It’s an experience game in a crowded market. Obsess over customers and deliver over the top delight and you just might win.
Hotels are getting into this game with force and from my personal experience are out delivering any STR I’ve stayed at.

@mhawk @rohindhar I've always liked the "what would a hotel do" litmus test. And, shocker, usually the answer is nothing in these situations. Cost of doing business.
English

@maiab the cognitive load required to deal with all of these unnecessary "smart" devices is untenable

@JoshuaBaer Leaf blowers are the absolute scourge of otherwise quiet suburbs!
