Don't shout at me, but, this is the first time I've ever had "end of season" vibes this early in an E season. (I'm posting this so that things will explode into life proving me utterly wrong)
Last minute question for my uk radio friends. I'm going to US next week and have just thought about bringing my radio. Is it too late to operate there? I haven't checked anything so not sure if I need to do a bunch of paperwork/applications first...
Does anybody know if a sky dish is big enough to get a good receive signal from QO-100 as far North as Scotland? There is one in a skip along the road and I have permission to be a bin hoker 🤣 #amsat#hamr
Next week I’ll be in Northern Ireland visiting relatives so will be GI0WDD. Will bring the arrow and the FM gear so will be on from IO74, IO64 and possibly IO65 if anyone needs them. It will have to fit in with family time though. Looking for my usual qso’s with @mi0xzz
Dear ham radio followers, here is the new version 1.2.0 of the DXTracker on #M5Stack 😌 I cleaned the code & improved stability. There is a setting menu, a new map, a clock mode, etc. As usual, everything is available on my Github under MIT License 🤗

I home-brewed an ‘HPOD’ antenna (Horizontally Polarised Omni Dipole array) which has similar predicted performance to a Big Wheel. Junk box/£20 of bits. Some further tweaking of matching stub reqd, however initial tests encouraging (50Qs in tonight’s 2m contest, ODX 450km) 1/3
@FMDXIreland Yeah, I would have had quite a bit on 6m during May but nothing really. There was a bit of TEP but I didn't get to enjoy that. I think some of the GM's north of us got into south America
@mi0xzz May basically didn't happen Neil (at least here) poorest start to a season I've ever seen. Hoping it picks up. 6 was going nuts last night across the pond so.... fingers crossed that it livens up.
