It's far from the most significant change in evangelical culture since 2016, but the fact that a theologically conservative pastor would "😂" and disseminate this joke publicly would have been absolutely ~wild~ in the very recent past.

@KatelynBeaty It's manipulative because it often denies that the music is in the power itself and instead claims "the holy spirit is in this space" or something. non-worship music is more honest about the source of the vibes.

EVERYONE shows up, and we keep the House, add 2 seats to the Senate, indict Trump, codify Roe, pass voting rights, and expand the Court. Then put Trump on trial, ban assault weapons, pass immigration reform. Then convict Trump, protect Medicare and SS, and make DC and PR states.

the people i have coached have told me "you helped me. i am in a better place spiritually because we worked together. i'm so glad i found you. thank you for providing space for me. btw you should charge more." tell me more about how i am a grifter.

maybe there's an assumption that those who call themselves coaches are unqualified, or that people going through deconstruction should only seek help from certified clergy or therapists, as if coaching is somehow a threat to those other support systems rather than a complement.

@0b01000011 @micahjmurray @olivesagan Turns out, cold seems to stimulate production in the mesocorticolimbic and nigrostriatal pathways of the brain. So cold still produces dopamine that affects the brain directly. We were both sort of wrong. Lol

i always figured cold showers were a dumb grindset thing, but after seeing some research on how deliberate cold exposure facilitates fairly high levels of dopamine release, i decided to give it a rip and i’m a believer now.

Ancient Judeans didn't have a "canon" or a "Bible." They just had a bunch of documents in a folder of randomly downloaded pdfs.

@olivesagan Not to dissuade you from doing something that works for you but cold water increases dopamine in the bloodstream but not the brain. Dopamine is also a vasodilator, it does more than modulate reward behavior
