@HarryStebbings Shiftfm.app not quite the same, for solves a very related problem. Automatically shifts between music and podcasts based on a timer, so you increase your effort when the music timer kicks in and vice versa. Uses Spotify + Apple Music

@Aivars_Meijers Yeah and as soon as you’ve proven the need and reaching pmf, you’d appreciate choosing React native. No need to build a separate android once u reach that stage, much easier to hire and quality and dev experience is similar or even better. I’ve worked for many yrs with both tech

Your one-person startup doesn't need Android App. Even more, you probably can't afford Android App development. Last week I was on a technical call discussing overtaking iOS and Android apps for one of the in-house customers. The app is targeted at the premium customer segment. Their split between iOS and Android is 80/20. I have been working on freelance mobile app projects since 2016, and in other projects, I saw more Android users, but still, usually, iOS generates more revenue than Android. In theory, you can go cross-platform and build both apps using Flutter, Kotlin KMM, or similar tools, but you are slowing yourself down and adding an extra layer of complexity just to get a potential 20..30% increase in revenue. If you are building a mobile app as an independent developer, starting with iOS App and leaving Android for someday makes sense. If your iOS project is successful, you can rethink Android app launching and calculate potential revenue or waste resources based on iOS app revenue. Am I missing something, and should I go to Android first with the next project? 🤔

@avielgr Great episode! One q, how would you implement global state concepts (e.g a shopping cart, user-settings, global popups etc) if the rule is to avoid EnvironmentObject? My approach has been to create an EnvironmentObject singleton for each such entity, passed down from root view

@selbekk "Radical Focus" is somewhat in the same ballpark, although slightly more tailored towards management and a little less (but still) novel-y

Are there any other novel-y books in the style of The Phoenix Project?

Lately I've been helping out my friends @Shiftfmapp (fitness app that allows switching b/w music/podcasts for work/rest) with some character animations. Pretty happy with the results! Here's one of the 'rest' animations, aim was a relaxed, carefree walk cycle.

From The Clean Architecture book: “Gather into components those classes that change for the same reasons and at the same times. Separate into different components those classes that change at different times and for different reasons.” Totally nails it👌

If your bank app supported Shortcuts, what actions should it have? Transfer money? Check your balance? List latest transactions? Check investments? Anything else?

It's been a while since we added new stuff to Shift! Wrote some words on our latest addition. Tl;dr - let your heart rate decide when to shift between podcasts and music during runs or rides 💗

@KronSpare Og legger dere til VanEck Video Gaming & Esports (ESPO) til listen over fond kan det godt være jeg flytter pensjonen til dere også. Bør være mulig siden dere har ETFer allerede?
