Ok, let's talk about Western ownership of "Greek culture", because the 19th century West didn't just claim it, they actively told actual Greeks they had no right to it. Jakob Philipp Fallmerayer in 1830 said that "not even a drop of true and unmixed Hellenic blood flows through the veins of the Christian population of present-day Greece". Western philhellenism loved Ancient Greece so much, it declared modern Greeks unworthy of it. They saw themselves, not Greek people, as the true heirs of ancient Greece. Wilhelm von Humboldt literally said Greeks "step out of the circle of history" meaning antiquity belonged to Western Europe's self-image, not to the living people who descended from it. Scholar Stathis Gourgouris called this an explicit "colonization of the ideal". The Nazis later used Fallmerayer's theory to justify atrocities against modern Greeks while praising ancient ones. And, oh boy, they truly committed atrocities and went unpunished for it too. Meanwhile, here's the part that really kills the "cultural proximity = European proximity" argument: Greeks physically took their culture into sub-Saharan Africa. From the late 19th century, riding the coattails of European colonialism, Greek communities settled across Sudan, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. In Ethiopia they built infrastructure in Addis Ababa and dominated trade routes into Eritrea, Djibouti, and Somalia. In Mozambique they industrialised entire sectors and built the great Zambezi bridge. In Zimbabwe they peaked at 15,000 people, with Greek Orthodox churches, schools, and social clubs that still exist today. In South Africa they first arrived in the 1860s and grew to 120,000 by 1970. Greek culture, language, religion, philosophy, and customs, was actively transmitted to and absorbed by communities in sub-Saharan Africa for over a century. Through trade, intermarriage, neighbourhoods, churches, and schools. That's not metaphor. That's actual cultural diffusion. Even today, as we speak, there is even a football fun club of a Greek team in Zambia who teaches its members the ancient Greek/Pontic Greek Phyrric dance. Which brings us to the real question: who has a stronger claim to the Iliad? Someone, regardless of their background or ethnicity, who has read it in the original or a serious translation, engaged deeply with its themes, its moral world, its legacy in philosophy, art, and politics? Or someone who happens to be born in Western Europe but can't cite a single line, even translated in their own language? If cultural inheritance is earned through genuine engagement, which is exactly what Western academia spent 200 years arguing when it was claiming Greece for itself and banishing the Greeks at the same time, then why is it suddenly a problem when someone outside the expected skin complexion plays a Greek character? What exactly are they violating, and whose rules are those?

@White_Chivalry @jemapelleeve Who is your master? It’s neither the Turks nor the Latins nor the global left..who impoverished you, who is ordering you around? Who is the one that enabled the Turks to invade Cyprus and Imia and told us to stand down? This is reality…and you can’t dispute any of that

Athenian autoχθony supremacy claims over Spartans, Thebans, Acheans, Danaans, etc shows how equally "barbarian" some Athenians perceived Thebans with Spartans, Pelopes, Achaeans, Danaans, people listed in Homer's Catalogue of Greeks! Egyptians recorded the Danaans as "foreign invaders" Sea Peoples, Plato calls them "Egyptians" in your quote. They are in fact the founders of Argos, one of the most ancient Greek cities along with Athens. Ηροδοτος does not treat the Thebans or Kadmos as "foreign barbarians". The claim that the "ancient Greek historical consensus" places the "letters as of foreign import" is an invalid claim, much repeated but still invalid. Greek people in the antiquity did not share this perception. The theory of a Phoinician import has been invalidated by Dr Wall who proposes sisterhood of parallel development.

1) No ancient Greek historian claims the letters were "foreign". Not even Hrodotos with whom Thukidides and Plutarch disagreed with anyway. 2) Next you will tell us that ancient Greeks considered the Thebans, Kadmos, Epaminondas, Oidipus, Pindar as non-Greek foreign "Phoinicians" instead of Greeks. This is patently false. Thebes, Kadmos, Pindar, etc have always been as central to Greek identity as Athens & Sparta. 3) Pindar from Thebes(alleged a foreign "Phoinician" according to you) used the word "Phoinissa" in his poems to describe the colour red of the lava instead of the "Phoenicians": Pindar Pythian I ἀλλ᾽ ἐν ὄρφναισιν πέτρας φοίνισσα κυλινδομένα φλὸξ ἐς βαθεῖαν φέρει πόντου πλάκα σὺν πατάγῳ. But in the darkness, the red rolling flame carries rocks to the deep surface of the sea with a bang. φ-words: φοίνισσα (red), φλὸξ (flame), φέρει (carries) — the flame, its colour, its action: continuous, flowing imagery π-words: πέτρας (rocks), πόντου (sea), πλάκα (surface), πατάγῳ (crash) — the destination and impact: percussive, hard imagery perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?do….

So hilarious that anybody with an IQ over 100 believes the promise of a "UBI" or a "Universal High Income" when AI and robots take most human jobs. Do you seriously think the government that no longer needs you is going to hand you money just to keep you around, when you pay no income tax, produce nothing for them, and only COST the government more debt and currency destabilization? They might roll one out in the short-term to keep you deceived, but they can't fund it long-term. The real plan is obvious: Mass extermination. And they're already begun the global energy infrastructure destruction that will accelerate mass famine and death. This is all by design. The government plan for you is not UBI, but rather DOA.
