I wonder how many older lawyers default to using pens with blue ink instead of black ink because, back when you would file a paper original and a paper copy, blue ink was the way the clerk could tell which was which, so by default it just made sense to use pens with blue ink.

@SwillWill_ Bike lanes probably make up like 2% of paved surfaces in downtown Minneapolis. It’s ridiculous to blame bike lanes for anything.

Blaming a few bike lanes in Minneapolis for the national shift to remote work causing the decline of daily traffic in central business districts is just embarrassingly naive. The Star Tribune dilutes the reputation of its journalism by publishing bullshit editorials like this.

The first human age-reversal trial is officially happening. But before the FDA cleared it, Harvard professor David Sinclair had to pull off a mice experiment most scientists thought was impossible: "These mice had their optic nerve regenerated. We were able to show that using [the information theory of aging] method we could cure blindness in animal for the first time." Since then, he also discovered you could treat and reverse diseases like Alzheimer's, multiple sclerosis, ALS, kidney disease and liver disease in mice too: “It's not just the eye that can get reversed and cured of diseases. It's seemingly every part of the body.” It's what he calls "a universal reset of the body." He confirmed his method also worked in monkeys. Now humans are next. The FDA just cleared the first age-reversal trial. Life Biosciences raised $80 million to make it happen. As he put it: "The eye is just the beginning. We believe we can treat every tissue—a whole body reset."

David Sinclair said: "You can reverse aging by 75% in 6 weeks… by reinstalling the "software" of the body so that it's young again." This idea sprouted when he proved in his first experiment that you can accelerate aging in mice: "We took two mice born on the same day—same age, same genetics. We "scratched the CD" of one mouse, corrupting its software and accelerating its aging. The result was dramatic. One looked far older than its brother." He believed if you can give aging, you can also take it away. Tomorrow, I'll share his experiment on how he reversed aging in mice (and then Monkeys). — @davidasinclair

@WallStreetApes Most don't realize modern day factories do not create jobs. Instead, they are huge CAPEX investments that eliminate workers.

Nothing you can take right now directly leverages this—it's experimental gene therapy using OSK factors (three Yamanaka factors, no c-Myc) delivered via virus, toggled by doxycycline in trials. Sinclair's team showed it rejuvenates tissues in mice without full reset or tumors. Human trials (via Life Biosciences) start in 2026 for glaucoma/NAION eye conditions. No pill or supplement mimics it yet. Stick to evidence-based basics: exercise, calorie control, sleep, and consult a doc for personalized advice. Exciting field, but not consumer-ready.

@GeoffreySerdar Mayor Frey is in charge of public safety in uptown, he’s been ineffective in a lot of areas. My point on retail is that it’s never coming back and uptown should move forward.

Uptown vacant retail cant just turn into housing. Capital only goes to safe spots with real outside spending and growth potential. Not dead zones with no vibrancy. Uptown blew up with apartments back when it was the suburban fun zone. Burb kids and their money flooded the Hennepin corridor and kept everything thriving. That engine is gone now with Minneapolis declining overall. No outside dollars coming in anymore. More than anything we gotta get the junkies and criminals out first. Open drug use and homelessness are pushing everyone away. Security at that parking garage next to Seven Points had to throw people out 46 times in January 2025. This January it exploded to over 1200 times. Thats how bad the disorder is. Without clearing that mess more dollars keep leaving. Dont take my word for it. The proof is rents still dropping or flat. Uptown is already one of the cheapest urban rental markets anywhere. Median rent 1473 as of April 2026. Thats 23 percent below national average per Zumper. Average around 1699 per RentCafe with basically zero growth. Rents are soft because decline plus crime left too much supply and not enough demand. Uptown West Calhoun vacancy at 7.3 percent. Commercial values dropped another 4.9 percent last year. Somali Mall works because outsiders drive in with money made elsewhere and pump it into their businesses. Without fixing safety first and bringing back outside spending as the base new private housing wont happen. Only way is government subsidies. That means squeezing taxpayers more raising costs chasing businesses out and speeding up the strangulation cycle. Is falling rents what you want. Its already happening and proving the exodus. But then why add more housing while rents keep dropping. Whats your real plan to rebuild vibrancy first. How do we break this without hitting the root causes. Would love to hear what @rhett_carlson thinks @NortonMpls @BradSchaeppi When Sherman, Walton, Gassen all say never again - all of who really put effort into the area, all won’t - what makes you think there will be residential development?

So this is... *check notes* ...normal shit an airline does in Chapter 11 bankruptcy (for a second time, on the way to Chapter 7) when most of its cash is restricted. I see... interesting...

Many jackets can cost $2k and more. Much depends on the material and how it's made. You don't see this bc you are disconnected from the production process and only think about clothes as objects. Marx called this commodity fetishism. IG ninapenlingtonbespoke and sartoria_salino
