@technicslover @TravelodgeUK @premierinn in Scotland are regularly north of £275 per night + breakfast.
It’s mad, they’re a bed and a half arsed breakfast and that’s it. They used to be £40 a night most locations.
English

I know there's supply and demand etc. but over £500 for two nights in a @TravelodgeUK is ripping the fucking piss.

English

@AllanHadjiHaig What’s embarrassing is leaving the ground with out evening shaking an opponents hand or having a shower, this is sporting.
English

Recently I wrote to @FionaHyslop regarding @EDI_Airport horrific price increase for drop off’s. My letter was sent on to the “relevant department” as Fiona was no longer a minister.
This is the reply, fobbed off sadly. @AlastairDalton

@Purplegatto69 @danielgoyal @scotgov There’s no choice, Edi are exploiting this.
If Tesco charged you to arrive and charges you for a trolley. You can go to Asda as you’ve got a choice.
With an airport that choice is either non existent or far far more limited.
This is exploitation, pure and simple.
English

@danielgoyal @scotgov Please stop asking ScotGov about this. Edin Airport is a Private Co and can do what it likes and does!! Trolleys have been paid for for some time now. It is a ghastly entity
English

The Edinburgh Airport Saga continues…
As well as the £19 to park for 16mins, they are now charging to use the luggage trolleys!!!
WTAF!
No choice. No competition. Just take as much money as you can from a captive public.
Where are @scotgov ?
English

@IrishArtist2025 @JimWhite @JamTarts Lots of videos floating around of Shankland shoving fans, none the other way round 🤷
Still, fans should not have been on the pitch. Security and police seemed ill prepared as it was almost invisibly going to happen today.
English

@JohnWight1 @EdinburghUni Could you define “middle class wanker” please?
English

Edinburgh has been turned into a capitalist dystopia/shithole by a council of middle class wankers, and a @EdinburghUni that has turned the city into a hostile environment for men and women of no property.

Edinburgh Airport, the most unpleasant and unwelcoming airport in the world. A national embarrassment. BBC News - Edinburgh Airport raises drop-off fees from £6 to £8.50 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
English

@kl_malcolm @SimonForrest11 It’s worse than that, SG have created bylaws literally allow them to make their own laws.
English

@SimonForrest11 Daylight robbery, why don’t the SG step in here and call this out, they stick their noses into everything else?

@AlastairDalton The last time there was a heft increase Edi tried to justify it by claiming they were using the funds to build a new access road. Guess what, several years and several increases later there’s still no road!

@TweetForTheMany @A1an_M @ZackPolanski It won’t, it really won’t. Increasing minimum wage will stop/slow employment in exactly the same way the recent rise in employers NI contributions has. And/or it will increase prices on most basic products and services. Business won’t suck up the increase it’s as simple as that!
English

@A1an_M @ZackPolanski No, increasing the minimum wage and supporting the economy with public spending will create jobs with a higher velocity of money

@Keir_Starmer About 10 years ago you argued that £15 per hour was the bare minimum for McDonald’s workers - you even stood on a picket line with striking workers. £15 - 10 years ago would be over £18 per hour today.
English

@Ross_Greer @scottishgreens Give up Ross, you’re making your self look more and more uneducated and naive every time you tweet.
English

If company bosses want to increase their pay, they should do the same for their lowest paid staff.
Under the @scottishgreens' 10:1 pay ratio plans, that's exactly what they'd need to do before getting a penny in public grants/contracts.
Let's demand better for Scottish workers
English

@belfastbhoy1961 Agree with this 100% it’s also worth remembering it would probably cost several £Mil to buy a player of his standard in today’s world. It’s a sensible call giving him a new contract.
English

@DanNeidle @HMRCgovuk Either way it seems a bit tight 🤨
Thanks for the reply! 🙏
English

@michaelbell11 @HMRCgovuk You could write to them and legally require a VAT invoice *if* you are/represent a VATable business.
I don’t believe there’s a general non-tax obligation to provide a receipt, but I could easily be wrong.

English

Serious question, is this even legal? Surely it’s an obligation to provide a receipt? @HMRCgovuk @DanNeidle may know?
Michael Bell@michaelbell11
This is a new low for @premierinn £0.20 charge if you want a receipt for your already over priced car park 🤨

@Selickpark Exactly this! It’s a confidence thing for him, it’s like he doesn’t trust him self any more.
