@reporterliz please reconsider your lack of support for red light cameras. we can save the lives of our poor without additional privacy burdens. there's no good reason poor people in cars should get to endanger poor people outside of them for free. speeding is optional.

The three mayoral candidates had a pretty stark differences of views on Measure ULA. A reporter loves getting all the different views in one place, a one stop shop ...

Did you know the City of LA is raising your trash & parking fees to make up for their mismanagement of your tax dollars?

Most of the cultural enrichment in LA revolves around wandering rich people’s estates after they’ve died (Getty, Huntington, etc.)

The new stuff at Metro’s spring pop-up store (which opened today) is… amazing. The branding team is doing some pretty killer work with making a system as utilitarian as Metro has historically been seem fresh, cool, and memorable.

Downtown LA is in decline. It’s unconscionable. Here’s one way we can fix it.

@AFineBlogger if the motivation here is public safety the focus should be on who's more likely to kill your kids on the road...if you look at the stats it's very clear one is not like the other

@EricsRambles It’s about treatment no worse than drivers not just like them. Also Have you seen the stats on how many kids are killed by drivers vs cyclists? One is clearly not like the other

📢Breaking News: Speed limits will be reduced to 15 MPH near schools citywide. Using Sammy's Law, we're starting with 800 school locations this year, with plans to expand to all 2,300 school locations across the five boroughs. 🔗bit.ly/4safLoR

If this were really about protecting the children, why would it be 24 hours a day? This is just another attempt at picking the pockets of middle- and working-class residents of the outer boroughs, while making it even more difficult to own a car than it already is. Shame on the mayor for using the safety of our children as a front to cover for yet another money grab.

Mayor Mamdani is moving to lower the speed limit around hundreds of schools across NYC as part of a major escalation of the Vision Zero initiative. The goal is to have every school in a 15 mph slow zone over the next three years. @MKramerTV reports. cbsloc.al/4uv5oO4
