@dhh Does it integrate into Basecamp? I like the idea of having everything there and moving tickets to Fizzy seems counterintuitive.

Fizzy is our fresh, fun take on cards and kanban-style issue tracking. We are getting closer to launch, and would like to invite about a hundred accounts to the party early. Sign up if you'd like a shot! 37signals.typeform.com/to/XCSU26s6

@jorgemanru We use tiptap too. It's great, but I'm cautious exactly for those reasons. Their is a certain risk to it. Great decision - looking forward to give it a try.

Getting our story graph for talesmith.world right isn't easy. This is the 3rd iteration. Putting play sessions and story scenes in the graph sounded logical first, but falls short on complex stories. And while reactflow is insane - it's a constant fight with the layout algorithm. It works but i'm not super happy with it - we can do it better - and we will once we have officially launched. #buildinpublic

We’re fighting symptoms, not root causes. Child abuse is disgusting and must be fought. Chat Control is not the way. Even with 99% accuracy, billions of messages would still be flagged for human review. Realistically the hit rate is much lower, meaning even more false positives. I have not found a good cost estimation yet. But I bet, the amount of money this costs could be spent more effectively into underfunded prevention programs. The EU’s “Regulation to Prevent and Combat Child Sexual Abuse”, better known as Chat Control, is nothing less than mass surveillance. Mandatory chat scanning, client-side surveillance, and end-to-end encryption broken by law. Revived under the Danish EU presidency, with a Council vote in Oct. Lots of states/representatives are still undecided. I’m so disappointed in Europe. We should be a safe harbour for people’s data. And the audacity to think government-mandated backdoors can be kept secure. False positives mean officials reviewing your private photos. Imagine your kids’ beach pics flagged as “suspicious.” This is just a slide back to Stasi times. And believe it or not, Germany is one of the undecided. 🔎 Source: brusselssignal.eu/2025/08/eu-cha… 🛑 Act: fightchatcontrol.eu #ChatControl

@damengchen @levelsio Are you retired if you are still in the trenches? I assumed you ment no-hands on anymore, which means there wont be new business unless you interrupt your retirement. Entrepreneurs for life gets a new meaning 😅

@levelsio is right here. You have to take inflation(!), sickness, and other things into account. It’s about SUSTAINING your lifestyle throughout your retirement. Which usually means for most travelling, buying stuff and chilling, not working. While millions sounds quite high you should calculate this realistically for yourself and your partner. You also might want to leave some for the kids. And who wouldn’t want that after 45 years of work.
@levelsio@levelsio

You did great but just to give you some new motivation $200,000 is by no means financial independence unless you live extremely cheap But do you wanna live extremely cheap the rest of your life? To fully retire comfortably you need at least $5M, so 25x more, and $10M if you want to be very comfortable I think Esp if you have kids in the future

Also fascinating to see where people are coming from. This is visitors to omarchy.org from the last month. As always, it's America that leads the way, but per-capita, Germany is almost exactly as engaged 🇩🇪🤘

The Omarchy Discord now has well over 5,000 members. Don't know if I've ever been involved in a community that's grown this quickly. Omarchy didn't exist in public two months ago! discord.gg/tXFUdasqhY

I thought i miss the "sleep on lid close" of mac. #omarchy is so fast on startup that it's a non-issue for me.

@FrameworkPuter is here. Really easy to assemble. Only the left display cable was not over the hinge. That could have gone really bad. Next OS installation.

Two days ago I ordered an @FrameworkPuter 13 with the AI 9 HX 370. I added 128GB RAM and a 1TB SSD from elsewhere. They shipped it out yesterday. The option to bring my own memory, and telling me which sticks are tested, still blows my mind. Thats a business model I like to support and return to. In fact I did. I just ordered the FW 12 in sage.
