My daughter turned 4 today, so obviously I've signed her up to parkrun. Once she's a bit bigger, I hope I'm not having to explain to her why she's been beaten by a man in the female category. It's a fantastic community event, but they do need to make their categories fair for all

Parkrun is a fun run. Your placement doesn't matter. This is literally just forcing trans people to be publically humiliated for the sake of it.

First of all - for all those men frothing at the bit about parkrun. If @parkrunUK posts places & times, it’s competitive. Simply add extra categories;Transmen & transwomen, & why not bring back records? Why shouldn’t women, as defined by Uk law, have their own category? And finally 5 million pounds of tax payers money, who by the way, support fair sport for females, went to parkrun, in part to grow female participation, which with no female only category has zero way of showing it is doing so! Simply run in a category of your biological reality. It’s not rocket science. Everyone runs together anyway. But stop letting males displace females. And boys grow up, stop being idiot misogynists! No one wants to stop Parkrun. We simply want fair finishing places for women. Even you can grasp that, surely?

@afcooney @malmcmullan Again, 100% agree with that, something this nation is very good at "oh we don't want to talk about that" the money that goes into senior county mens team is eye wattering. Remember some pigs are more equal than others, the senior mens team in your football county is your Napoleon

@mickkinahan @malmcmullan Absolutely agree it’s an elite sport at inter county level - it always was. However the very small minority ( inter county ) are absorbing most of the county funding ! That doesn’t make sense - but nobody wants to discuss.

I read a lot about ticket prices increasing due to losses elsewhere GAA's biggest concern is the amount of empty seats and terracing most of the time A deep dig into why people are not going to games is very important A strategy of lower pricing and getting more in the gate?

That last one, running as fast as you can, that is not a bad thing! Some want to make out it is to suit their agenda
