The main driver of $BTC demand now comes from fixed-income investors buying $STRC to capture an 11.5% yield. But the yield can only be paid if an ever-increasing number of investors buy into the Ponzi. The more investors who buy in, the more who need to buy in to keep it going.

If you believe that $STRC is offering a safe 11.5% yield (I am not commenting on this), then why wouldn't you play your own carry trade and buy $STRC, take a margin loan against it on any platform <5% and reinvest in $STRC?
You have to DEEPLY believe that $STRC will hold par.

1. FHSA - triple tax-advantaged, but only if you buy a Canadian home during an all-time bubble.
2. RRSP - the shelter dies the moment you leave. Withdrawals as a non-resident: 15-25% Canadian withholding plus tax in your new country.
3. Public Sector Pensions - most stay fully taxable in Canada at Canadian rates when you retire abroad. Treaty mechanics vary, but you're not skipping Canada's hand.
4. Cross-Border Cash - $10K and you declare. Fail to declare and CBSA can seize. 5-50% penalty to get the rest back. Suspected proceeds of crime? Gone.
5. Dividend Tax Credit - Canadian dividends get a massive tax credit (near-zero in low brackets). Foreign dividends? Full marginal rate, no credit.
