@draloneboy It proves America was right not to keep supporting them as they couldn’t wait to bite the hand when the answer from management became NO. Pride comes before the fall.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford just canceled Elon Musk’s Starlink contract and banned all U.S. companies from government contracts in response to Trump’s economic war with Canada. “It’s done, it’s gone,” Ford said. “We won’t award contracts to people who enable and encourage economic attacks on our province and our country.” And just to be clear: “They only have President Trump to blame.” So Trump starts a trade war, and now American businesses are getting locked out of Canada. This isn’t “tough negotiating”—this is our closest ally shutting the door on us while Trump pretends he’s “winning.” MAGA wanted an economic war? Well, they just got one. And it’s American companies and workers who are about to feel the pain.

The Hollywood petition to block the Paramount-Warner Bros. merger continues to grow as 4,000-plus names have now signed it, including Robert De Niro, Sofia Coppola and Holly Hunter. “This transaction would further consolidate an already concentrated media landscape, reducing competition at a moment when our industries — and the audiences we serve — can least afford it," the letter reads. "The result will be fewer opportunities for creators, fewer jobs across the production ecosystem, higher costs, and less choice for audiences in the United States and around the world. Alarmingly, this merger would reduce the number of major U.S. film studios to just four." variety.com/2026/film/news…

@ClHoggatt @Ninya615 I don’t disagree at all that Congress does it and gets away with it. It’s repulsive, but for this particular case, if the allegations ate proven, it’s very illegal and also puts his fellow soldiers at risk.

BREAKING: Anthony Albanese attacks Peta Credlin — and gets a FIERY response he won’t forget Anthony Albanese thought he could score cheap political points by calling Peta Credlin an “insult to Australian values” because the outspoken journalist is fiercely conservative and believes that government should prioritize everyday families over woke agendas. Unfortunately for "Each-Way Albo," he picked the wrong person. Speaking directly to her Sky News audience, Peta Credlin didn’t just clap back — she delivered a fierce political reckoning. “The Prime Minister of Australia just said that I insult Australian values,” Peta Credlin began. “You want to know what insults Australian values? Crushing working families with a cost-of-living crisis while breaking promises on tax cuts.” And that was only just the start. “You know what insults Australian values?” she continued. “Spending hundreds of millions on a divisive Voice referendum while ignoring the very real crime crises in our regional communities.” Then she went even further — taking aim at energy policies, union corruption, and hypocrisy. “You know what insults our values? Destroying our reliable energy grid and sending our manufacturing industry off to die in the name of a reckless net-zero agenda… Turning a blind eye to union thuggery and dragging their feet on holding the CFMEU bosses accountable.” This wasn’t just another evening broadcast. This was a full-on political indictment. Peta Credlin — who has been criticized by the Canberra bubble for speaking hard truths and challenging mainstream narratives — flipped the script entirely. Instead of backing down, she grounded her message in the very "fair dinkum" values Albanese tried to weaponize. “I am not perfect,” she said. “But I know what real leadership and fundamental fairness look like in this country.” And then came the line that hit hardest: “Labor tells us they govern for the working class… Can we imagine a strong nation with no manufacturing? Can we imagine a prosperous society where families can't afford to turn on their heaters? Can we imagine a united country divided by race? Then why do we tolerate these things under this government?” That’s how you respond. Not with cheap shots. Not with spin. But with clarity — and conviction. Albanese tried to smear her. Instead, Peta Credlin delivered words that are now echoing far beyond Canberra.

@NYCMayor For a town like Hollywood where they’ve hardly made a decent movie in that town for 6 years and the moguls like Spielberg fleeing to Florida, invoking Bogart and what Jack Warner might think really reeks of tears of Netflix. And don’t tell us Ted at Netflix would give one iota.

This merger is bad for New Yorkers three times over. Thousands of jobs at risk here in the city. Streaming bills going up as competition disappears. And two of America’s most powerful media companies under one roof, deciding what you watch and what you hear. Today, as Warner Bros. and Paramount shareholders vote, New York City is on record: this merger should be stopped.

Taking from disabled people to give to people in aged care is a cynical political exercise from Labor. Pitting people who genuinely need care against each other while leaving $17 billion in the pockets of gas corporations they’re too cowardly to tax is shameful.

My brother is disabled and I have been a life long carer and disability advocate. If the government was serious about NDIS reform they would speak to families like mine .. we were among the first families to join the program and we used it as it was intended, as an intervention to facilitate clients independence, not life long escalating dependency. My loved ones would be the textbook family for how the NDIS would look if used correctly. We had hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of funding thrown at us for things we did not need but we were denied funding for things we did need. We had the threat of losing the funding we did need (about $10k a years worth) if we did not also use the $80K+ allocated to us. We also made complaints about rorting service providers as soon as the NDIS came in to effect and I am still making them and those complaints were never followed up on. Withdrawing NDIS funding completely could kill clients and their primary care givers (who are all but forgotten in this chaos) but cracking down on service providers and those genuinely exploiting the system is absolutely necessary. @DrewPavlou @PeteZogoulas @Mark_Butler_MP
