Hi @andrewjonrhodes After being contacted by a senior account manager in December 2020, I put £20k worth of 3 year bets on with #footballindex. I have a simple question for you, was there ever a chance I could win those bets? Regards

How did we allow Spanish media convinced us that Iniesta, Xavi and Zidane were better than Gerrard?

SHE SAVED LIVES. NHS DESTROYED HERS. Sue Allison spent 30 years as a breast radiographer. She was brilliant at her job. She knew what a missed cancer diagnosis looked like. And in 2012, she saw too many of them at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (@UHMBT). Two women died. Their cancers went undetected. Sue raised the alarm. What happened next is the @NHS playbook on repeat. She was bullied. Ostracised. Blocked from promotion. Driven out of the department she loved. Eventually she took stress leave because staying meant enduring daily professional warfare. In 2015, the Trust pressured her into signing not one but two non-disclosure agreements, without offering her any legal advice. Sign here. Say nothing. Go away. She didn't go away. A tribunal later ruled the NDAs void. In 2019, Health Secretary Matt Hancock @MattHancock personally cited Sue's case as the reason the NHS needed a full ban on gagging orders used against whistleblowers. He stood at a podium and called it an injustice he was determined to end. The ban was never enforced. Not then. Not now. Sue settled with the Trust in 2020 for financial compensation, because fighting a 15-day tribunal would have meant selling her house. That's how the NHS wins. Not by being right. By being better funded. She became a Trust governor in 2021, trying to push change from the inside. It didn't work. In May 2023 she resigned, citing the same bullying culture she had reported eleven years earlier. The Trust chair thanked her for her contribution and offered her an exit interview. Presumably to discuss all the progress that hadn't happened. After 30 years of service, Sue Allison says she will never work in the NHS again. Her reputation was systematically destroyed. She was blacklisted across the health service. Job applications years later still came with questions about the whistleblowing. The Trust that failed its patients, silenced its staff, and invalidated its own gagging orders never faced meaningful consequences. Senior managers with questions to answer moved on to other NHS roles. Source: @ComputerWeekly, @IndexOnCensorship, @Telegraph, @GuardianDigital

🆕Gam Com still refusing to publish anything at all with regard to this appointment. I wonder why......no I don't. Just a wall of contradictions to keep a public appointment in the dark. Unacceptable.
ZiDave FI@Zidave1

@ThePublicNTK I never did get a reply from @GamRegGB CEO regarding this matter. As I said in my letter why not get the rest of the #footballindex Directors involved. I am sure Bohan has some free time.

On 30 March I sent @dcms a pretty clear request for an email that was not released in a bundle that the 1st tier tribunal had ordered which took @ThePublicNTK over 2 years to obtain. I mention the date and time of an email referring to it @lisanandy @fionatwycross

applicable. 4) Some further FOIs outstanding (nearing the end of this now) 5) Wrote to Treasury Select Committee with full evidence of FCA "issues" and a couple of other avenues which I hope to share further news on. Loads going on as always just progress is always slow!

An update on what I am working on regarding #footballindex - 1) liaising with Begbies on a couple of issues including emails yesterday. 2) working with 2xMPs on questions for Lucy Rigby to answer. 3) Updating both Parliamentary Ombudsman and FRCC with new relevant info when...

Usual @TheFCA claim rubbish in Paragraph 1 but the highlighted in Paragraph 2 and 3 are very interesting and very useful respectively. Thanks @johnmcdonnellMP for asking the question!

ANDREW BAILEY RAN the FCA, FAILED 11,000 INVESTORS, AND NOW RUNS BANK of ENGLAND Andrew Bailey is back in the hot seat over the London Capital and Finance (@TheFCA) collapse and it is not a good look for the Bank of England's @bankofengland governor. LCF went bust in January 2019 after raising £237 million from over 11,000 ordinary investors, many of them pensioners, who were sold high-risk mini-bonds falsely marketed as safe fixed-rate ISAs. An independent investigation led by Dame Elizabeth Gloster concluded the FCA failed to properly supervise LCF during Bailey's time as its chief executive. The report ran to nearly 500 pages and found serious gaps in the watchdog's practices. It said the FCA may have contributed to investor losses by missing red flag after red flag, including 611 calls to its contact centre warning about LCF. Most damning of all: Bailey tried to have his name removed from the report. Gloster refused, saying that level of anonymity was inconsistent with public accountability. Bailey accepted responsibility for the FCA overall but pushed back on specific findings, calling the FCA he inherited a "broken machine." That argument didn't wash with MPs or investors who had already lost everything. The @CommonsTreasury Select Committee asked him to clarify contradictions between his testimony and Gloster's account. The Serious Fraud Office is still investigating. Regulators failing consumers is not a niche issue. 11,000 people trusted the system. The system failed them. Those people are still waiting for justice. Source: Financial Times | April 4

HBOS FRAUD WAS JUST DISCUSSED IN THE HOUSE OF LORDS This clip shows that one of the UK’s biggest banking scandals is still not finished. Years later, victims are still waiting for full truth, full accountability, and proper compensation. That should alarm everyone. When a case reaches Parliament and the core issues are still delay, withheld answers, and unfinished justice, it shows a deeper problem. Institutions know how to let time do the work. Public anger fades. Victims get worn down. Responsibility gets passed around until nobody is held to account. Behind every scandal like this are real people. Businesses destroyed. Savings lost. Health damaged. Families pushed to the edge. This is why public pressure matters. Without it, these cases get buried under procedure and managed statements. Watch the clip and share.

So an application to @GamRegGB which was approved @lisanandy @fionatwycross @DCMS said that significant barrier to entry was "gambling regulation" - you can't make this up! How was this not the reddest of red flags. It's either sheer incompetence or corruption. You chose!
