@the_Bradster007 You know I just saw it, and I don't give one fuck about this game or this world, AND YET as it ended I thought "You know there are worse ways to spend 2 hours in a theater. It's a bubble of happiness, and that's gotta be okay."

For those that don’t know, I am one of the managers at my local movie theater. Lately I’ve been having a rough time and even considering leaving my job because of how stressful it’s been. But with the last few days of Mario, I have seen so many families and kids coming in, so excited to see this movie and just to be happy to be in a theater that it has literally rejuvenated my passion and brought joy back into my work.

I don’t want your “best movie ever.” I want the one that made you sit in silence when the credits rolled. The one where you said, “what… was that?” No spoilers. Just titles. Let’s ruin my week.

@lovxtwd Too far. We all knew it. Sadism versus humanism is a thing. This became torture porn, and how those who made it didn't see it tells you where some of our imbalance is. They knew this was coming for months and/or years...and still filmed it.

Why do you want to have children? This is the best answer. Someday in your thirties or forties, you will suddenly realize the best things in life have already happened. The rest is just repetition and growing old, year after year, day after day. But a child washes away the repetition, making life unknown once again. They cause you worry, make you care, bring you joy, bring you surprise, and let you experience childhood all over again. They make you understand your parents' state of mind from back then, give you an excuse to buy the toys you once yearned for but couldn't have, make you strong in pain, and calm in a crisis. They let you see your childhood self, so that you can better understand and accept yourself. Parents raise the child, and the child also accompanies the parents. Parents and children nourish each other, and fulfill each other. In the fleeting time, the child gives us something to look forward to in the future. I think, this is the reason for having children. Why do you want to have children? Leave your comment below.

If you’re a writer you should be reading and if you’re filmmaker/actor you should be watching movies. I don’t why these are controversial statements

@0h_and Not sure of the science, but it's called a "Daddy Chaser" in today's over-reactive gay world. Or, in the politically incorrect 70s, a "Chubby Chaser."

"Hacks" star Hannah Einbinder blasts AI creators as "losers" and says she wants to "put their head in the toilet and flush": “The people who make this stuff are losers. They’re not artists. They’re not creative. And they’ve wanted their whole lives to be special. And they’re not special. So, they’re trying to rob real creative people of our gifts. And you can’t. And even if you try, you will never be cool. You guys suck. No one likes you. Anyone who’s near you is because they crave power and access over any ethical standard. You are a loser. You will never be cool. And you probably had a rolly backpack in high school. I wanna put your head in the toilet and flush.” variety.com/2026/tv/news/h…

So is LA no longer the place to be as a writer, filmmaker and actor? Production companies are leaving and filmmakers and writers are being forced to leave. Actors aren’t finding work. Is Los Angeles still the place we should be heading to?

I'm feeling heated and this needs to be said. Some critics and content creators are out here treating The Super Mario Galaxy Movie like it just failed a college-level film theory exam.42% on Tomatometer? Really? Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach blast off on a wild, colorful adventure across an entire galaxy full of wonder, power-ups, gravity-defying madness, and pure Nintendo charm — and somehow that’s not enough for some people. They wanted drama. They wanted soul-searching monologues. They wanted important life lessons wrapped in dark, brooding metaphors. Newsflash: That’s not what Mario has ever been about.Mario has always been simple, brilliant storytelling at its core: One crazy event (a kidnapped princess, a new galaxy in peril, Bowser being Bowser) kicks off an explosion of pure adventure. You jump in, you explore, you have fun, you save the day. The “message,” if you even want to call it that, is light, wholesome, and timeless: enjoy life, cherish your friends and family, and embrace the ride. It doesn’t need to preach. It doesn’t need to lecture. It just needs to be fun.Yet here we are — grown adults with serious review voices acting disappointed that a Super Mario movie didn’t deliver the emotional weight of an Oscar-bait drama. Creators like Andres from GameXplain openly expressed their letdown, and they’re not alone. The huge gap between the critic score (42%) and the audience Popcornmeter (91%) says everything. Here’s the reality check they desperately need:Turn your brain off for two hours. Stop looking for subtext that isn’t there. Stop demanding every children’s movie be a profound commentary on the human condition.Mario isn’t trying to fix your existential crisis. He’s trying to make you smile, cheer, and maybe hum the Galaxy soundtrack on the way home. Some of these reviewers have completely lost touch with what made Mario magical in the first place. It was never about deep, heavy messaging. It was about adventure — pure, unapologetic, galaxy-spanning joy.If you can’t enjoy that anymore… maybe the problem isn’t the movie. It’s you.

@CapsirusYT A film reviewer is someone who is obsessed with movies. And there was probs one movie that changed their lives. So when they see these tepid movies being embraced and defended by millions is breaks their heart because it means more of the same is coming. Money = Hollywood.

@RosieGray I spent one go with it for a script, then worked on it alone and submitted it to a very pro (meaning: they get paid a lot) writer, and the only thing he hated was the few AI edits and writing I left in. AI for writing and editing other than drone corporate stuff is shit.
