Our Registrant Workforce and Perceptions Survey 2023 found differences between the four UK nations in some key areas. 🔵 Satisfaction rates were generally consistent across the UK, but dissatisfaction varied from 17% in Wales to 27% in Northern Ireland.

@PeterHampson Whoever wears that badge cannot truly love optics. The amount of chromatic and monochromatic aberrations I can see on that badge. They should have gone for a hyperbolic curve to compensate or used a material with a lower abbe value.

@OptometryToday @Specsavers 13 million eye examinations carried out each year in the UK across all providers averaging 1.08million a month. So are we saying that Specsavers performed just under 92% of all examinations? That seems like a dominant position in the market.

@samanthastrong Ways to reduce it in your specs without contact lenses: 1. Reduce the vertex. Either with frame choice or adjustments. 2. Choose a lens with a higher abbe value. 1.67 is actually worse than 1.74 (by a smidge). 3. Increase the base curve and use a hyperbolic aspheric lens.
