@mikesarcher

In Colorado since before it went blue. I'm an ordinary guy sharing straight talk and calling out bad policy. Opinions my own. No DMs.

@ShelbyLynnLFC @SRuhle How did the matter come before a Judge? Did someone sue to block the merger?

2 things can be true. - the Biden Administration blocked a JetBlue/Spirit merger out of market consolidation concerns & now here we are with one company gone. - the final blow that caused Spirit to fall was skyrocketing jet fuel prices caused by the war in Iran.

@V_DoubleDOG @AgentSelf99b You’re ignoring that the huge 2022 inflation spike happened on Biden’s watch and permanently raised the price level. Even today’s inflation is adding to that higher baseline.

@mikesarcher @AgentSelf99b It’s crazy to watch Conservatives ignore the recovery from Covid and the war in Ukraine completely when comparing gas prices lol the idea that prices at peak are even approaching comparable without either of those things for Trump is pretty disgusting

MAGA — here are the actual annual average gas prices under Biden. Not the one week you cried about. The full year averages: 📅 2021 — $3.01 📅 2022 — $3.97 (yes, including that $5 peak you’ve been screaming about for 3 years) 📅 2023 — $3.53 📅 2024 — $3.31 Biden left office with gas at $2.89/gallon. You’re currently paying $4.44/gallon under your guy — and that’s the national average, not California. Go ahead and start that countdown to when you get those “terrible Biden prices” back. We’ll wait. 🤡

I feel (not) sorry for people who don’t have fuel efficient vehicles But then again I spent almost $40 on gas while 2 months ago it was $25 (It was $4.29. And it was the cheapest I can find) I swear our country has no brains when it comes to voting

In your magical world energy infrastructure and refineries ramp up to full capacity the day a president takes office. In reality, that takes years. I'll take the guy pushing US energy independence and maximum domestic production over the one who wants to restrict it and rely on imports.

@SimonMahan Solar companies pay premium rents that often beat crop income. Subsidies to solar make those deals even sweeter.

Folks that *only* want solar on rooftops, haven't put solar on their own rooftops. Do y'all think a solar farm sneaks up on a farmer and just sprouts up overnight without their permission? The land owners WANT to use their land for solar! "Save the farms" ignores FARMERS.

$175 for beef?!🥩 $20.65 per pound … for one cut. Herds are at generational lows after years of drought, rising feed costs, and pressure on ranchers. Supply gets squeezed → prices explode → families get hit. This was the Democrat push! What are you paying for beef where you live right now?

That's an interesting chart. Young men have stayed similarly conservative for over 25 years, while young women have drifted much further left. Why such a divergence? What has changed for young women that hasn't changed for young men?

Which Biden's policy drove up gas prices? See, here's the ultimate hypocrisy of the Cult: it's not "the President controls" so much as "the President has some control." Trump absolutely chose a war everyone knew would spike oil; he had some control. What did Biden do?
Scott Walker@ScottWalker

Gas was more than $5 per gallon when I filled up in Pewaukee near my home on June 10, 2022 when Joe Biden was President. I must have missed your post about his terrible policies driving up gas prices.

@LawyerDave1 Pick one. His actions on day 1 crushed investment confidence and slowed new production growth exactly Those policy headwinds = $5 gas in 2022.

@mikesarcher I'm still waiting for you to draw a line between a specific Biden policy and the gas price spike in 2022. I'm sure in your blue check chucklefuck mind, with assistance from the first link in a google search, you think you have. But you really haven't. I've enjoyed it though!

Doesn't change the fact that Biden on day 1 announced war on oil 2020 drop was COVID. Refineries closed because demand cratered not because of Trump policy. Biden’s day one Keystone cancellation, lease pause, and “no more drilling” sent the clear message. Future supply not welcome. Markets reacted instantly.

“Since January 2021, President Biden and Democrats in Congress have taken over 125 actions aimed at shutting out the use and development of the very energy resources we need more of, not less. Suppressing domestic supply and setting America on a path towards energy scarcity has exacerbated inflation and made costs skyrocket,” testified Mandy Gunasekara, Director at the Center for Energy & Conservation at the Independent Women’s Forum in her opening statement. “Low-income Americans are the hardest hit by high energy prices. They’re being forced to choose between heating their homes and putting food on the table.”

@mikesarcher Try to think before replying. Keystone XL was not scheduled (assuming timely completion) to carry oil until 2023; i.e., NOT a cause of a gas price spike in 2022. Refineries have a maximum capacity, and the US lost millions of bbls of capacity during Trump45.

@LawyerDave1 Cancelling Keystone XL on day one and halting federal leases/offshore drilling wasn’t some distant ‘years away’ fantasy. It was Biden’s explicit war on fossil fuels that crushed investor confidence and future supply expectations immediately.

@mikesarcher Whoa! In your head, cancelling a construction project that was not going to carry a single drop of oil for YEARS spiked prices?? How come Trump's re-approval hasn't lowered them? The time rqrd for lease/explore/drill and production on fed lands says you're an idiot.

In Denver, it currently takes longer to get a building permit than it does to grow a human being. 🍼 🏗️ We’re ranked 50th in housing competitiveness because the 'Free Market' is currently stuck in a 330-day PDF queue at the permitting office.
