So cool to finally see R2 in the flesh without a wrap! Looks great - everything seems pretty much nailed Can’t wait to spend time with it in the future

So at the Samsung event we were told that the S26 ultra has a 10-bit panel so at this point I don’t know who is telling the truth. And if it is an 8-bit I cant really tell, especially when compared to other devices I've used and tested. I hope we get a clear answer from Samsung

There is an EV out there with 318,000 miles on it. It’s 4 years old. It’s mostly DC charged. It’s only has had standard maintenance with zero actual repairs. It’s on its original battery and its original brakes. It ONLY has 8% degradation. It’s a 2022 @Ford Mustang Mach-e. There are 2026 Teslas with 10k miles that have more degradation than that. 🤯 forbes.com/sites/sashalek…

Regarding the "privacy display" in the new S26 series from @SamsungMobile The resolution would drop from turning this on right...? What's the resolution of the respective screens when this is active? @milesabovetech

Yes, that is true. But it's pretty rare to be done at this level. If you look at the thread we are talking several videos over 2 months from different companies. This has been a pretty massive problem with YouTubers lately. JonRettinger. Uraverageconsumer, Karl Conrad, just to name a few. They pay massive amounts of money for views, and yes, you can use YouTube own tools to do it, to boost your own views. So they do that and pretty much destroy their own channel in their process. But to them it doesn't matter because sponsors see the views and then they pay more money and then they take half of that money and then they pay for more views and it's a constant cycle. This is a big big issue with a lot of the YouTubers out there right now. It's all just a fake way to pretend for advertisers. There are one-off situations where a company will do the work and pay and you can't judge every single video the same way. But you could tell pretty easily whenever you look at who's doing all of these random videos on robot vacuums and you just have to look at the trends. If every single one of their sponsored videos has over 100k views and like three comments you can sort of see what's going on

I completely missed this but we can now confirm that R2 (at least with premium launch edition interior) will come with ambient lighting! Good catch @JosiahC21 :)
Josiah@JosiahC21

@RivianTrackr In Doug’s video when he’s talking about the mattress in the back, you can see purple ambient lighting in the first and second row door cards. Hopefully that makes it to production.

Yo @Rivian - not seeing it in the release notes, but we’ve noticed a HUGE improvement in audio quality. I mean, as big as when you rolled out Atmos. Both Gen 1 and Gen2 are night and day better (…and make our sub kit absolutely THUMP!) stories.rivian.com/software-updat…
