Another experiment with Kling 3.0 Omni @Kling_ai in creating a simple, everyday kind of scene. As a copywriter, back then when I pitched a story to a client it was either presenting your script verbally to them or creating a Google Slides presentation of your storyboard using images from Shutterstock or even clips from a movie. Understanding the story is actually simple, but getting your client to imagine the exact vibe you are aiming for is difficult. Some of the reference materials you show them might be a bit irrelevant, and creating the exact visual mock-up can take a lot of time. This is where GenAI video really comes in handy. I can visualize my script, edit it, and then show it to them now in motion. Especially now that most AI video models have better training data, particularly for the Southeast Asia region, exploring that specific vibe is much easier. Yes, it is AI. It may look slop, and I agree. But it helps a lot when it comes to visualizing your idea for your client. By showing this, you bring everyone to the same point of view so that no one in the room has a completely different imagination. What actually happens is fun. When I present a concept to my client, we end up having fun together. It triggers conversations like, “Hey, I think I know a better location where we can shoot this scene,” or, “Let’s make the set more chaotic, with more street vendors and a bigger crowd.” And when it comes to briefing an actual film director to direct the commercial, it becomes even more collaborative. We might already have ideas about how we want to shoot it, but then the film director provides more suggestions based on their expertise, like, “This works, but I think we can also try it this way.” And it is so much easier now. AI is really a great tool. I think it is up to you how you want to use it and how you want to perceive it. In reality, I still hire real talent like film directors and photographers. Nothing really changes, especially in Southeast Asia, where the ad scene is very active and dynamic. We just need to be more open-minded about what technology brings to us.
