The missed red flags before 17 y/o Ellie Gould was killed by her controlling boyfriend highlights the urgency for coercive control education in schools. 🔺 Love-bombing just days into the relationship. 🔺 Emotional abuse in school, obsessive texting. 🔺 Gaslighting. Only 24% of students reported being taught about coercive control and as little as 13% thought it was taught well (SafeLives, 2022). This is unacceptable.
