Le nouveau pas de tir du Starship est un monstre. Il a encaissé sans broncher un tir statique de 14s avec 33 moteurs Raptors qui lui crachent à bout portant quelques milliers de tonnes de poussée. Tout est démesuré dans ce projet.

@stephenhumble11 @LabPadre I think it's because the actuators have to be directly connected to the gridfins and since the top of the booster is now a hotstage ring and forward dome, they can't do it like V2, so the actuators go where the gridfins go, that would be my guess

Why put the actuators inside concave housings in the methane tanks, where they’re subjected to cryogenic temperatures and it complicates the tank design. Why not house the actuators in external chines like they do for other components near the base of the booster? Hopefully it works and does not cause problems and delays.
