Another example of the odd phenomena of Ivy League protesters who seem to believe they have a right to protest in public, but without anyone seeing who the protesters are.
Alexandra (Orbuch) Horowitz@OrbuchA

Today, in my capacity as a reporter for @PrincetonTory, I covered a Pro-Palestinian Walkout on Princeton's campus. I stood at a distance, gathering footage and audio of the protestors, but protesters continued to stalk and harass me.

Quebec so far this week: • Synagogue firebombed • Imam says Jews should be exterminated • Pro-Palestinian screams "kike" at Jewish student • Professor calls Jewish student "a whore," says go back to Poland • Two Jewish schools hit with gunfire And it's only Thursday.

I encourage everyone to watch this entire @jaketapper segment which lays bare how deeply evil and cynical Hamas and its top funder the Islamic Republic are. This does not mean governments are off the hook, but Hamas and the Islamic Republic do not wish for freedom... all they want is death, destruction, and subjugation.

People who were coerced into becoming engineers by their parents, are you grateful to them for what you are doing in life right now?

Highly, highly recommend Tangle to anyone looking to broaden their political engagement. Isaac and the tram do a tremendous job drawing out nuance and resisting the tendency to paint black and white, simplistic pictures of incredibly complex issues
Isaac Saul@Ike_Saul

A little over four years ago, I started @TangleNews with the audacious belief that people might actually want to get out of their political bubbles, have their views challenged, engage the other side, and embrace some nuance. I sent a short, typo-riddled newsletter concept to 13 people, mostly family and college roommates. And today? My first full day in my own office space. 80,000 newsletter subscribers. Over 12,000 paying members. A YouTube channel. A podcast. 4 employees. Readers in every state from across the political spectrum and 60+ countries. Teachers, doctors, construction workers, engineers, politicians, journalists, retirees, ex-pats, foreign readers — we have it all. I’m so tremendously proud of what we’ve built, what we’re doing, and where we are going. And we’ve set an ambitious (but I think reachable!) goal for the rest of this year: 100,000 free subscribers by January 1, 2024. That’d mean 25% growth in two months. How? With lots of advertising money (duh!), but also — your help! Please, if you have been along for this journey, take 20 seconds and get someone to sign up for Tangle today. All we need is one in every four people on our mailing list to get *one* person to sign up and we hit our goal. And if you are in media — a journalist, podcast host, producer, or run a YouTube channel — come talk to us. We have (what I think) is an incredible story to tell, and we want the country and the world to hear it. Link below. Thank you!

I'm leaving Twitter, for the indefinite future. The reason is simple: this site is becoming more like Gab every day. It's a font of hatred, lies, and harassment. And while it's never been great, at least it had its uses. No longer. At least not for me. /1

I wrote this two weeks ago, and I still stand by every word: Trying to quiet the buzzing in my mind, here are 10 random things I know or believe. Maybe one or two will resonate with you: 1. Every human life has infinite worth. 2. Collective punishment is always wrong, revenge is not a strategy, and civilians in a conflict must be actively protected at all costs. 3. No country and no government could allow what happened in Israel last week to happen again. The old Hamas-based status quo is probably gone for good. 4. Those kidnapped kids, women, and older people need to be released NOW. 5. The occupation must end as soon as possible. 6. Despite what some deluded people in both camps may think, neither the Jews nor the Palestinians are going anywhere. We find a way to live together, or we suffer and die together. 7. Fighting about the past, about the “narrative,” about who did what to whom in 1929 or 1936… and who started what, tends to be a tiresome waste of time. What matters is what we do now. 8. The only way out of this hell is by working for freedom and dignity for *all* people. 9. Whatever happens next, Israel needs to release Marwan Barghouti, the one Palestinian leader who could play the “Mandela” role in negotiating a solution. 10. The world, and specially the U.S. and Europe, have much more power than they seem to understand. If they wanted to, they could force/entice all parties in the conflict to do (or not do) almost anything. That's it. I hope some of this makes sense.

Big reason there’s still no speaker: Any Republican who wants to be speaker who even *hints* at working with Democrats to get some votes is probably toast in their party.
