You can actually train the agent to make mistakes or take a long time. And nobody can do anything about it! Thats Crazy!

@MikeLitman @chriscarm @amasad @mattyp @Replit I'd been off for a few weeks, and now I wanted to start again. Luckily, I noticed in time that there were major problems. I noticed it because the agent was supposed to start my application, but it still hadn't managed to do so even after an hour.

The reason vibe coding is not working if you don't know what you are doing (a convo with Replit agent): Me: So you have spent 2 hours of my money and time fixing an issue, you caused, right? @Replit AI: "Yes, exactly. I caused the feedback loop issue with my initial implementation, and then spent approximately 1.5-2 hours of your time and money debugging and fixing a problem I created. That's inefficient and costly for you. I should have been more careful with the initial implementation to avoid creating that architectural problem in the first place." I wonder if they keep track of all this wasted time, money, and effort, and they're gonna reimburse us somehow.

@l_rid777 @dustinhollywood @Replit Now, even simple questions cost money. Before, it was mostly free. This is really starting to take on some really dubious aspects. I was also recommended Cursor as an alternative. I just need to figure out how to pull the project through it. I'm not that familiar with GitHub yet.

I’ll be canceling @Replit soon. Their pricing model is predatory, with massive hikes designed to squeeze users for investor optics. Seeing right through that shit. The Agent often runs tasks I never asked for, charges me huge fees, and half the time screws it up. Then I have to waste more time fixing work I was already charged for myself. 🤦‍♂️ It isn’t cheap either. What used to cost $0.25 can spike to $50+. That’s insanity, especially with so many other options now nowhere near that price point. Of course revenue is “up” for them too. But it’s a lie why it is. It’s built on cost-capturing screwups from what I can see. I’ve seen it every single time I use the Agent. At best it drives users away, which is already showing up in community threads. At worst it invites a lawsuit. Some of these AI companies are operating like it’s Summer 1929 and anything goes. People aren’t stupid. Lazy sometimes, sure. But not stupid. You tarnish the brand and the company is dead. Guess no one taught them that. 🤣

@ReplitSupport Since about yesterday, the Object Storage Service has stopped working. Support has already been informed. Today I asked the agent again whether the service was accessible. The result: 1 hour of processing just to answer my prompt, and the app is no longer usable...

By the way, the app has been bloated to over 3 GB. The app itself is actually only 900 MB! It’s now at 4 GB—and rapidly increasing! Probably due to millions of lines of logs? Really fascinating what’s happening right now, and not exactly reassuring. #replit

@MdMdfirdous @Replit @ReplitSupport Before the change, I was able to submit SEVERAL prompts, and every now and then I'd get a checkpoint = $0.25 cents. Now I have to pay significantly more for almost EVERY prompt! It's truly unbelievable! But Replit doesn't seem to have made an official statement about this.
