New Governor General, same old costs. Cut the $400,000 annual salary and pay raises. End the $130,000 clothing allowance. The GG can pay for her own clothes. End the $200,000 annual expense account for former GGs. End the $150,000 annual pension. Now is a perfect time to cut the perks.

And deep down, we all knew it would be the last time. Tonight, I’m thinking about my father, who just lost his first son. No parent should have to live that. The fastest, simplest and easiest way for governments to make your life more affordable is to stop taking so much money from you in the first place. Other countries are cutting gas taxes. Canadian governments need to cut gas taxes, scrap ALL carbon taxes, end tax-on-tax!
