If you don't know the standard of living of ordinary people in developed countries, then you know nothing about China.

@BBCWorld Just resign? If it happened in China, corrupt officials and those who leaked or sold test problems would be sentenced to at least 10 years imprisonment or even death penalty. @JayantBhandari5

If you ever wonder why Chinese love the CPC one major reason is the policy of real wage increases. Real wages TRIPLED in the decade 2015 to 2025. Spending and savings both increased as wages rose. In UK we haven’t had real wage growth for 30 years, just more taxes, higher utility bills, higher rents, more financialisation of former public goods. One government serves its citizens, the other impoverishes and immiserates them.

One source of China's power is its incredible household savings. While real wages increased by 209% from 2015 to 2025, spending increased at the same rate and so too did savings. Meanwhile, China has managed to double spending and savings.

Indian men are among the toughest people on Earth. They spend years studying relentlessly without breaks. Once their education is complete, they transition immediately into the workforce—there are no gap years or rest periods. For an eldest son, the pressure is immense. He carries the heavy burden of providing for the family, taking full responsibility for bringing in an income, funding his siblings' education, and covering their marriage expenses. Once he marries, his responsibilities only multiply. Society places immense pressure on him to buy a house, a car, and jewelry for his wife. Between providing for his parents, supporting his wife, and guiding his siblings, he rarely has time for himself or his own hobbies. He transitions seamlessly from an overworked student into a 24/7 machine. Nine out of ten Indian men find themselves trapped in this exact cycle. While a man’s hard work and dedication are often overlooked, this is the quiet reality for millions of Indian men.

China’s share of global GDP, according to their own almost certainly inflated numbers declined to 16.7% from 18.5% in 2021. America accounts for 26% of global GDP, up from 24% since 2021. “Not only is there virtually no chance of China overtaking the United States as the world’s largest economy, but it is also likely that the U.S. advantage in economic strength will expand further in the next decade” 👇

China had over 1,829 famines in its history. When did the famines finally stop? When the Communist were in the power! "Mao starved people" or "was worse than Hitler" because of a famine in the 1960s is utter deception. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_f…

Spot on, mate! Australia helped push a shaky Xinjiang forced-labour narrative that never met basic legal standards, and now they're getting a taste of their own, bitter medicine. Read Jaq's tweet:
Jaq James@JaqGeoLaw

Australia hit with a 12.5% US tariff... I say good! Finally Australia has gotten a taste of the medicine we helped inflict on China with the fraudulent Xinjiang forced labour narrative, especially with the help of ASPI - a pro-US cell in Canberra. As an admitted lawyer, I had been saying for years that any forced labour narrative must be built on actual international law. But no... what did ASPI and the Australian Government do instead? Substitute the international law definition of forced labour with a heuristic checklist that can cast anything from Xinjiang workers washing their hair to Xinjiang workers quoting Xi Jinping as evidence of forced labour. And then what about evidentiary thresholds? All of a sudden hearsay evidence - not accepted in a court of law - became reliable evidence of forced labour, and little satellite pictures of Xinjiang rooftops became evidence of forced labour occuring under those rooftops - as if they were see-through. And as for the UN's report - it's like I've said before... the people working on it should be ashamed of themselves. Incredibly flawed methodologies, including pretending 40 interviewees was a reliable sample size to make the extraordinary claim that there is up to a million forced Xinjiang labourers. It was a clown show to any serious legal professional. But what happened to people like me who said you must stick to legal definitions and rules of evidence to make such consequential claims? Mainstream media did hit pieces and the inevitable online bullying. But now lookie here... all of the Australian Government's made-up stories about Xinjiang forced labour are biting us in the a***. Because Trump is right... if the Australian Government really believed in the Xinjiang forced labour story, they should be doing a lot more to prevent Xinjiang goods entering Australia. But we need EVs and solar panels, right? So I say to the Australian government: you live by the sword, you die by the sword. Learn to live with the consequences of your made-up stories. In the meantime, I get to hold my head up high, because my days of professional vindication are coming. Here's my interview with CGTN - me being on the record that the Xinjiang forced labour narrative did not meet the legal requirements... before the days when it will be safe and popular to talk about the forced labour narrative as a clear disinformation campaign led by malicious actors trying to contain China's economic rise. youtu.be/X5qQJWuMZfc?si…

cn.nytimes.com/business/20260…

The scale of China's energy grid is insanely large and highly increasing In 2025, they held 33.2% of the global electricity generation more than double the USA (~14.2%) That's 1/3 of the worlds capacity Then the rest of the World combined ends up with 52.6% An absolute dominant force in global power generation

Erase them and they didn't happen. Homelessness? Erase them and they didn't happen. You can apply it to almost everything!

@Jonesun252779 @CrowCasey182573 @fuxianyi If you were in the west and didn't pay national insurance contribution for at least 15 years, you would receive 0 pension. And most likely, you would end up homeless. Chinese in rural areas normaly live a much better life than 40% of Americans who don't even have 400 dollars cash

You are just ignorant. Rural people in China are well paid when they get a job in a factory which provides free food and accomadation. They save the money they earned in the bank instead of paying national insurances annually in order to receive pension many years later.
Crow Casey@CrowCasey182573

@mingdengzhang @Jonesun252779 @fuxianyi The real story is they don't make enough to even come close to being able to pay any national insurance. You really hate Chinese people, don't you?
