@greg_opera @Anaya_sharma876 @Steam @TimSweeneyEpic @Apple I was talking about active / concurrent player counts, not preference polls. For actual Steam concurrent players at peak times it's still ~80-90%+ in multiplayer games, exactly as I said earlier. The 55/45 split you posted is much closer to preference, not real-time active users

@minkrov @Anaya_sharma876 @Steam @TimSweeneyEpic @Apple The numbers change slightly if you consider active players, but it's not as big of a difference as you make it out to be... Approximately 55% versus approximately 45%, in favor of online gaming (consoles are roughly 50% each). Revenue is a BIG difference, but numbers aren't.

@testingcatalog This will be so revoulutionary, I would love it if I could automatically have files synced up and Codex would have context for both systems. This would genuinely be amazing... Might implementing this functionality into my ADE.

OPENAI 🔥: In the future, Codex will be able to control other desktop devices with the Codex installation. All your Mac Minis, your desktop station at work, or even your grandparents' old computers can form your own "Codex network". Along with the upcoming "Locked Use" setting, this feature will allow Codex to invoke Computer Use capabilities on other machines from your main device.

@minkrov @Anaya_sharma876 @Steam @TimSweeneyEpic @Apple I just looked it up - you're wrong, though the numbers are a LOT closer than *I* would have thought; so there's that, too. *Approximately* 56% prefer single-player games versus *approximately* 44% prefer online games. Note that for relevance, this is for *PC gaming* only.

@greg_opera @Anaya_sharma876 @Steam @TimSweeneyEpic @Apple Online multiplayer games account for the majority of active users and engagement in the gaming industry. Single player games have a long lifetime ownership and dedicated communities. That's what I meant by "most games", because most player count (I'm sorry for my phrasing...😭)

@minkrov @Anaya_sharma876 @Steam @TimSweeneyEpic @Apple Firstly, online multiplayer games make up a small portion of the overall gaming industry. Secondly, most anti-cheat systems *natively* support Linux - but developers often blacklist Linux because they are either anti-Linux or they are lazy.

@Samaytwt That's so true, I'm vibe coding apps that are genuinely going to be useful in the future but I've never done marketing fully, that's why I got back on X now. I want to let people know about workflows that'll help them build and get out of their comfort zones.

@HowToAI_ The testing was part of vibe coding that the human could only do for a long time, and now people are implementing features and workflows that replace testers. This is another level of vibe coding, it's vibe coding with the full workflow.

Someone built a tool that lets Claude Code autonomously test your entire IOS app It navigate your entire app, opens every screen, tests every flow, reads the debug logs, and hands you a structured bug report. one prompt and that's it

@IntCyberDigest In the future AI will BE the firewall. Cybersecurity won't depend on algorithms and it'll depend on AI, and how it can protect data. We'll see this in action very soon I hope, but we'll see if this idea gets developed.

❗️🚨 BREAKING: Researchers used Mythos Preview to find the first public macOS kernel memory corruption exploit on Apple's M5 silicon, they give a glimpse into Mythos say it’s really powerful. Apple spent five years and an estimated several billion dollars building Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE), the hardware-assisted memory safety system built around ARM's MTE. It was the flagship security feature of the M5 and A19, designed specifically to kill the entire memory corruption bug class. Researchers from Calif built a working exploit in five days. According to Apple's own research, MIE disrupts every public exploit chain against modern iOS, including the recently leaked Coruna and Darksword kits. Calif walked into Apple Park this week and handed over the report in person. Full 55-page technical report drops after Apple patches the vulnerability.

@morganlinton Let's see how Grok cooks, because 2 whole weeks of thinking and it didn't come up with anything is honestly just sad. But if Grok actually produces something, at least an interface I'll be amazed. Don't know if it'll happen, but let's see how good it really is.

Okay, let's see if Grok Build can code an operating system from scratch. Yolo mode on. Codex /goal spent two weeks on this, but ended up building up a huge log file, crashed, and lost the goal. Can Grok Build do better? 👀

@sporadica I would rather still have some stuff private of course, cause if the data gets leaked that might be bad... But I'm glad that they're introducing these features because the education system doesn't teach me how to do my taxes, so I'll just let AI do it for me later on.

@vivoplt That was honestly expected, Building an artificial neural network, and hoping it stays a program and doesn't grow a consciousness or feelings is quite bizarre. But I hope we don't turn it into a mess, and we'll keep AI as a tool instead of treating it like a human.

@nicos_ai But imagine this in reverse, we somehow make Claude Mythos actively patrol and BE the firewall. Firewalls and blocks in the future won't be simple algortyms and code, it'll be AI agents battling out hackers themselves. It'll improve cybersecurity, it won't destroy it.

@seelffff It's true that this computer can't compete with GPT or Claude models on the cloud, but it does seem like a good step forward in local-LLM running. We'll see how this adapts to the future, because I can already see people setting this up inside of their home instead of Alexa.

people think running AI locally requires: → $3,000 MacBook Pro → RTX 4090 → $20/month cloud subscription nvidia just dropped a $249 computer. 67 TOPS. runs llama 3.1-8B locally. no internet. no API. no monthly fee. ever. smaller than your router. costs the same as AirPods. runs the same models you pay $240/year to access via ChatGPT. the local AI era just got a price tag. $249.

@cryptopunk7213 Cybersecurity is going to get revolutionized through AI, even though most people say it's going to be destroyed. AI's won't help find bugs, they'll BE the firewalls and the walls between hackers and databases. If we integrate an AI as a defense system, nearly nothing can get in

claude mythos just broke Apple's $2 billion defense system. it did so by discovering a completely different attack vector to break in only took it 5 days costing ~$35K of mythos api time (the same exploit class costs $5-10M on grey market) the researchers that commandeered the exploit produced a 55-page report that was delivered to Apple HQ in-person (hoping they release it after patching). most shocking part for me is apple's MIE worked as intended. mythos just discovered a new way to side-step it entirely by poisoning the data the M5 chip ingested. at this point i think we have to accept that mythos walks the walk. As the anthropic red-team explicitly confirmed this week - this is NOT a compute resource issue. its national defense.

The best way to actually see if the product that you're creating is valuable, ask yourself. Would you use it? If not, what could be improved and what would make people want to come to it? If so, then ask yourself what would could be optimized anyway!! Go build stuff!!!

@immasiddx Claude is most likely gonna stay for the long term, Anthropic is playing it very smart on their part, so if OpenAI doesn't get enough paying customers they'll be shut down by next year. I would much rather Anthropic win because of their privacy vision and precautions.
